The definition of a hero can mean many different things, a classical hero is a childhood person we read stories about who saves the world, and a modern day hero; a person who goes out of their way to help others and make a difference in their community. A classical hero and a modern day hero are two completely different things. They may be categorized under the same word, but they have two separate definitions.
Indeed, a modern hero is different from a classical hero in many ways. A modern hero is an average person who makes a difference in their community by helping others when they are in times of need, or when they see something they can do to help someone. A modern hero isn 't rich or privileged, they are an average person who did something extraordinary and made a difference in someone 's life. A modern day hero is someone who took a risk not knowing if they would make it out alive, they just had an instinct, and followed it. An example of a modern day hero is Kashmir Singh, he was driving a cab when a couple left their stuff in the back of the cab. Instead of keeping the ipod, important documents, ids and cash, he returned it to the couple. In the text it says “Singh told the Daily News: "It 's just my nature," when asked about returning the bag.” Singh is a modern day hero because he did was was right, and helped others because it was the right thing to do.
