India has many religions . In India, religion and life are inseparable. They are close to each other. Due toits caste system, Indian economy is considered as economy of contrasts. The legal aspects that govern the society and since ancient times which have been imposed. Hindu represents a part of the socio- economic system as it analyze the hindu culture and civilization and seeing impact of religion in the social sphere. It is a way of life. This country was contemporary with the glory of Babylon, Persia, Egypt, Rome, Greece and it saw all of them disappear. It is hiding a secret of its spirituality and in its way of life . We shun anything non- modern or so called orthodox. We don't like to stay in traditional. We become modern in our thinking, our dressing sense, home furniture or the way we perceive spirituality. We reject any ritual and traditional custom which does not fit in with our accepted definition of modernity. Yoga and meditation becomes a part of our daily life or at least claim to do so. Hinduism still impact India society directly. India is rich in its spirituality and has a very complex religious history. It is the home of Sikhism, Hinduism and Buddhism. It has adopted the religions of Islam and Christianity to different degrees. The life of India is essentially its religion. Hinduism being the religion of the majority. Because of Hinduisms centrality to Indian culture, Religious plays a major role in Indian politics. It changes the attitude of economic and social reform. According to The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language: the word modern was first recorded in 1585 in the sense 'of present or recent times'. In Latin, modernus is derived from modo, meaning 'just now'. English word modern was not originally concerned with anything that could later be considered old- fashioned. In other words, Modernity means to reject old- fashioned ideas and traditions. In terms of social and cultural, modernity is also interlinked with the value of freedom, equality, democracy and feminism. It is assumed that in 19th and 20th century unleashed the power of industrial and scientific progess, which led to freedom to women, freedom to downtrodden sections of the society, social equality. Democracy is also thought to be a modern concept of governance. Modernity is also related to reducing the role of religion and increasing the role of rationality in the public sphere.
