Money is not required for happiness. This is a common publicly believed theory that is proven true. Happiness according to Merriam-Webster is a state of well-being and contentment and being comfortable is a state of well-being and contentment. Required means to demand as necessary or essential but as we all know, money is definitely not necessary. And money is a something that is generally accepted as a medium of exchange, so is something that you trade with necessary for being happy? Some of the points I will be arguing with is that the love and affection from the ones you care about will bring you comfort which is equivalent to happiness, doing sports will bring one happiness and the people in poverty are also happy.

This point is actually scientifically proven. Research shows that doing sports has an impact on mental health. Many may not know but scientists have proven that doing physical activities actually trigger brain chemicals some of which are named endorphins that make you feel happier and more relaxed. Endorphins are the hormones that make us be less aware of pain and triggers a positive feeling which is most likely happiness. Also, exercise reduces the stress hormones produced in our body. An app named Happify broke down all the ways sports can benefit our lives. According to Happify, a study involving 7th and 8th graders shows that girls and boys who play team sports are more satisfied with their life. Another study also has shown that sports with social interactions make us happiest. All of the evidences above proves that sports will bring one happiness. As mentioned earlier in the in the introduction, happiness is a state of well-being and contentment and being satisfied and relaxed is a state of well-being which means that these are the characteristics of being happy. Can Money Buy Happiness? In today’s materialistic world that we live in, the phrase that ‘can money buy happiness?’ is an often asked question. There is no right or wrong answer but only peoples opinions and people always think their opinions are right. Money is an easy way to gain happiness since in our daily lives we need money for food, shelter, and keeping ourselves healthy, which are necessities for having a happy life.
Happiness has a broad meaning. One may consider it to be having money, love, or even just enjoying the little things in life. There is no real definition for happiness because it all depends on a person 's perspective of life. Happiness is more about the way you think and act rather than a material possession. It is not something that has a physical form, or that is worth something valuable, yet everybody seeks it.
Competitive sports provide a community which kids can work with and beat other teams with. “Playing a sport helps children develop social skills which would benefit them even when they grow older. Playing sports teaches them about teamwork and cooperating with others. They learn to interact with people from different ages” (Mahaseth). When these kids grow up, they can use these skills to be able to cooperate and talk with their colleagues.
Now I will be telling you about the effects of exercise on one’s mental health and resiliency. The University of Texas Medicine performed a study consisting solely of people with depressive disorders and had half of them do 30 minutes of physical exercise a day, while the other half were told to make no changes to their levels of physical activity. The exercising group claimed to be feeling better now compared to before the study, and the other group had no change. Many studies have worked to document a relationship between exercising and mental health, like a different study from the University of Texas Medicine which concluded that people who work out regularly are half as likely to have depression compared to people who do not. The amount of physical activity recommended to get mental health benefits is the same of that of obtaining academic benefits, which is 30-60 minutes per day.

Sports can make kids the next David Wright, the next LeBron James, the next Eli Manning, or the next Lionel Messi. The best part of sports is that you're improving your physical health, psychological health, social skills, and academic benefits. Physical and phychological health can benefit a child in many ways.

It is truly a beautiful thing because it can be thought of as a positive cycle. For instance, playing sports will provide the fundamental foundations of a good work ethic. If this good work ethic is demonstrated, it will build the character that will prevail in both the real world as well as on the playing field. According to a News Associate at CNBC, “Eight hundred twenty-one high-level executives were surveyed and we found that a whopping ninety percent of women sampled playing sports” (Hess). In all sports, players must show up to practices, workouts, and events on time.
First I will address the term happiness. I would like to argue that happiness is whatever you want it to be, either having good relations to others, having obscure measures of money or even being free, but I can not argue with the fact that happiness is controlled by chemical reactions in the brain that stimulate us into thinking we are happy. It is nothing more than simple biology.
Not only can sports unite countries around the world, but they can also bring individual sportsmen and women together as a team. Sport allows team mates to form bonds that teach them to function as part of a whole, which is also a worthy skill to have in life.
