Everyone reacts differently when a certain circumstance occurs. The characters in The Monkey’s Paw are a perfect example of this statement. The story The Monkey’s Paw by W.W. Jacobs is about a family called the Whites. When the Whites are given a strange talisman, they are granted three wishes. However, when they make their wishes they do not expect how they receive their wish. The characters human nature is greatly affected by different circumstances and events in this short story.
