The dependent variables in the study are addictive and gambling. Addiction entails to the compulsive behavior over a given entity such as drugs or even gambling. On the other hand, gambling entails to the persistent behavior on risking on a given entity whose outcome is based on chances. However, there are other extraneous variables that are likely to influence trust in a monogamous marriage like, alcohol, drug abuse and stress.
Hypothesis

According to Drebing, (2000) similar to every compulsive behavior, gambling addiction has social, biological and also psychological roots. Based on the biological aspect, a compulsive gambler is likely to feel a rush of dopamine, which is the chemical in the body’s pleasure center. The author argues that for many of these gamblers, the pleasure center is already unresponsive to the normal pleasure sources such as leaving a given individual to turn addictive behaviors towards experiencing happiness. Under the social aspect, the gamblers are likely to form given group of activity such as card tournament, track or even at a casino.
