Unknown ≠ Scary A lot of kids in the world cannot get good educations on account of lots of reasons such as family financial problem and irresponsible parents. Kids are the future of a generation, the earlier kids receive educations the better they would learn in the future. The childhood is a experience of learning, little things that happens may influence a person 's life. Therefore, children 's book is a good way to educate kids when they are too young to get real education at school. The story of Monster From the Dark is based on my own experience. A friend of mine let her mom read a children book named Kissing Hand. It impressed me with its heart touching topic and the way the author describe it. It is a story of family love, and it has the stereotype of kids ' story - talking animal. It teaches kids the importance of family. Family is the your first cheerleader when you are depressed. That is how I start my interest with children 's book. Children 's book somehow related to a certain problem that most of the kids have. " School is starting in the forest, but Chester Raccoon does not want to go. To help ease Chester 's fears, Mrs. Raccoon shares a family secret called the Kissing Hand to give him the reassurance of her love any time his world feels a little scary. " (1) In Kissing Hand, the common problem for kids is do not want to go to school. By explaining how these "kids" overcome these problems, the audience learned a lesson from what the character did. From The Monster in the Dark, I used the similar strategy. The common problem in this story is kids are always scared of dark and their bad imagination of what might be in the dark.
