Thomas Jefferson Born on April 13, 1743, in Shadwell,Virginia died in July 4, 1826, Monticello. Jefferson had a mother and a father. Their names were Peter Jefferson and Jane Randolph. When Thomas was 29 years old, he married a woman named Martha Wayles Skelton. They had six children together but only two of them made it to be an adult. Ten years after they got married Martha died. Jefferson never remarried after the death of his wife. Jefferson kept Monticello as his home for the rest of his life, he then made changes to it over the years as well as expanding it.
