Moses is one of the most well known individuals in the Bible, and this is for good reason. Moses was the person whom God used to lead His people out of slavery, and also to deliver His Law to Israel. Moses had a relationship with God that was unlike any during his lifetime. As a result of being chosen by God to lead the great nation of Israel, Moses provides many good principles of leadership to learn from. One thing that is essential in being a leader in ministry is a clear call from God. An individual should not “test out” being in leadership. In the life of Moses a clear call to leadership is seen. God first introduced Himself to Moses in the burning bush (Exod. 3:2-9). After talking with Moses for a little bit, God lets Moses know that he is the one chosen to lead Israel out of Egypt (Exod. 3:10-16). God made it very clear to Moses that he was the one to tell the Israelites the plan, and then go speak to Pharaoh on behalf of God. An individual who is going to be a leader in ministry should know beyond the shadow of a doubt that he is called by God to ministry. The Bible makes it clear that those called to the office of pastor should not do it for any other reason than the fact that God has given them pure and …show more content…
14:13-14). Moses knew that God had promised to free the people from Egypt, and that the nation would dwell in the Promised Land someday. While standing among a huge group of angry and frightened group of Israelites, Moses reminded them to trust God. Moses told them that God would save them from the Egyptians, and they did not need to fight. He even told the people that they could stand silently while God defeated the enemy. The faith of Moses was great because he believed that God would do what He said He would do. So as a leader being faced with the worst circumstances, Moses trusts God to take care of

If his rivals could create a different god, one that favored themselves instead of Moses and was more palatable for the people, they could now become the chosen leader, and cast out Moses. This would allow them to gain control of a vast number of people, that now that Moses has done the extremely difficult work of

Throughout history, God has been there for the Israelites. During Exodus 9-11, God was present when His people were in need. We can see how God calls, cares, and acts in support of the Israelites. The Israelites had given up hope and thought that even their own God could not take them out of slavery by the Egyptians. Previously, in Exodus 7-8, God sent out four plagues, releasing frogs, gnats, and flies upon Egypt.
The Israelites broke their covenant with God and they had to be punished for it, in the form of other tribes taking over and having full control over the land to learn obey the covenant. For some reason in every story in the book of Judges they are saved by having someone becoming the leader for them and they go to war to regain their power and land but, every time they regain it back they yet again disobey god and worshipping another idol and doing whatever they want to do. Then they call on God to come and save them and every time God comes and saves them through a leader. by having a war against the other tribes.
The people who were still doing what was right in their own eyes angered God who chose and called Moses, yet Moses fought with God for a while before he allowed God to use him and he chose to follow God’s ways, and in return God helped Moses lead the Israelites out of slavery all the while showing the people that they should believe in and serve Yahweh. The people were shown His mighty ways for example, when the ten plagues were brought upon Egypt and the sparing of the firstborn of the Israelites, how God led them by the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night to escape the Egyptians, or how God used Moses and his staff to part the Red Sea, so they could walk through on dry ground, or how God caused the water to collapse on the Egyptian armies that were pursuing them. Even after God saved the people from the Egyptians they soon overlooked the signs and turned back to their sinful ways, so God sent Moses up to Mount Sinai, where God gave him the ten commandments which became the law the people were to follow to know the difference between right and wrong. There are seven generations between Moses and
Was Moses a good leader? My Hebrew figure, Moses, is the strongest Hebrew leader in times of peace and in times of trouble because, moses lead his people out of Egypt where they were enslaved, and took them to Canaan, the “promised land.” In return for this kind gesture, Moses asked for the Hebrew peoples faithful obedience I believe that moses is the strongest leader in times of trouble, because when the Hebrew people were enslaved in Egypt, moses lead them out as a leader to end slavery.
He speaks for the good of the nation. Throughout the discourse obedience to the Law is emphasized ... obedience from a loving heart, not obligation. 17 First Moses repeats the Ten Words, the Ten Commandments, and tells Israel to obey them, without turning aside to the right or to the left, so that they may extend their days on earth and so that they become many. " Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Jehovah" (6: 4).
Pentecost The Holy Spirit started to guide and influence the church at pentecost, and it continues to guide to this day. The Holy Spirit guides the apostles to preach the good news. The Church would be lost without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In Church history there are many instances where the Holy Spirit guides people to make the right decision.
