Ever heard of a person who made the world a better place? There have been few people that have accomplished that, but Mother Teresa is indeed someone who made the world a little better. She helped take care of people who were sick and poor. Mother Teresa put people’s well-being before hers. Because of her commitment to charity and helping others, she received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. Since she was young, Mother Teresa had great knowledge of religion and she was very committed to God. Her schools were convent-run and she participated in a choir called “Sacred Heart”. Drana, Mother Teresa’s mom, taught her that charity was a wonderful act of kindness. In that retreat she received a religious calling from God and 6 years later, at the age of 18, she decided to become a nun.
Mother Teresa joined a group of nuns in Ireland called The Loreto Sisters of Dublin where she was named after Saint Thérèse of Lisieux. One year later, she moved to Calcutta to teach at the Mary’s High School for Girls. It was there in Calcutta where she received a new calling from God. It stated that he wanted people to help the sick and the poor. After that calling, Mother Teresa devoted herself entirely to helping and loving the sick and poor. She was a woman full of God’s love and kindness.
Her love towards helping others made her special and different. It was for this reason, that she received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. She was shocked when she received it because she never wanted the prize. She helped others because she wanted to and not because it would help her gain something in return. She also said that winning the prize was exhausting because she got invited to so many meetings that took time away from helping

She helped so many people with her school and the Sisters of Charity. My goal in life is to help people and to touch their lives, which is what Mother Seton did. I believe that I can look to Elizabeth Ann Seton when I am going through a rough time. I can remember her story and it will give me strength to know that God is there and He will help me through it. Elizabeth Ann Seton lived a life of holiness and everyone around her could tell that.

John Carroll helped spread Catholicism all throughout the United States. One person in particular that helped teach was Elizabeth Seton. In 1812, she was giving approval to create the Sisters of Charity of St. Joseph (Boylan). This would lead to her founding many other Catholic women’s schools that would become a foundation from schools across the United States for even non Catholics (Boylan). Most importantly though, after her death in 1821 of tuberculosis Pope Paul VI declared her a saint (Boylan).
Susan B. Anthony, in 1979, was the first woman to be on a coin; this coin was worth a dollar(biography). Anthony had many awards and accomplishments, but she also had a ship that as of 2000 had a world record for saving lives(13 surprising
Her "...world has changed so much. On the shelves of [their] rented living room are awards from around the world—America, India, France, Spain, Italy and Austria, and many other places. Susan B. Anthony felt that “ everyone deserved to have equal rights racially, within gender, and even educational equality” (Salam). Anthony played a tremendous role in the Women's Activist Movement, which meant that she devoted her life to working on getting women the right to vote and feel equal. Teresa mentions, “When I was about ten my mother got real sick. That summer, instead of sleeping downstairs in my mother’s room when my mother wasn’t there, one of the kids was gone away to college, so it was just Rosalyn, David and myself that were home” (Romero 2). When Teresa obtained a room upstairs, she was essentially taking on the role of an insider of the family. By sleeping upstairs with
Susan B. Anthony (Susan Brownell Anthony) Susan B. Anthony was a prominent feminist author who started the movement of women’s suffrage and she was also the president of the National American Women Suffrage Association. Anthony was in favor of abolitionism as she was a fierce activist in the anti-slavery movement before the civil war. Susan Anthony was born on February 15, 1820, in Adams, Massachusetts, and before becoming a famous feminist figure, she worked as a teacher. Anthony grew up in a Quaker family that made her spend her time working on social causes. And her father was an owner of a local cotton mill.
She was injured by the Taliban and had to get treatment in a British hospital. She had international speeches and has won many prizes for human rights and equality (won the Nobel peace prize in 2014). The speech on education she had back in summer 2013 was for the UN General Assembly and it went viral. What she wanted to achieve is simply that she lays down the brutal facts and people of great power like the UN Assembly follows with resolutions and permanent changes. Her speech was interesting and very good build up by her use of the three theories of argumentation, which I will analyse throughout this essay.

Then at the age of four, Saint Anne and Joachim took Mary to the Temple. Even though this was a promise to God, both parents were distressed to see Mary go. During this time, Saint Anne and her husband remained holy and charitable people.
