1. Introduction to the system 1.1 Geology and soil Mount remarkable national park was published in 1972 under the National Parks. The park is located in the Southern Flinders Ranges. The Mount Remarkable Range runs north-west and is composed of steeply-dipping, 800 million year old sandstone which forms a massive hogback ridge. The main area is about 16,583 hectare and about 250km north of Adelaide stretching from the coastal on the western side near Mambray Creek to the Winninowie in the north, which is near the Melrose in Figure 1 below. Figure 1: Mount Remarkable National Park Two smaller blocks to the south make up the 18,290 hectare reserve. The park is in an important biogeography area of the …show more content…
Wildflowers are prolific, with 490 plants recorded here, including several species of threatened orchids and the largest known population of bayonet spider orchids. Along the western flanks of the ranges emubush grows among the rocks, native hibiscus adorns sheltered spots in the gorges and downy mint bush blooms in the rocky gullies. Wattles, some endemic to the area, provide magnificent displays of gold, with species such as golden wattle, dog wattle, graceful wattle and Flinders Range wattle. This park straddles two biological regions, thereby providing a refuge for more species than areas to the north or south. Mambray Creek has South Australia’s only endemic frog, the stream bank frog let, as well as its widespread southern cousin, the brown frog let. Euros and western grey kangaroos are very common, with the bigger red kangaroos on the western plains, and yellow-footed rock-wallabies in the gorges. Ringtail and brush tail possums, and pygmy-possums, make their home in the river red gums. The 117 bird species include the painted button-quail and the diamond fire tail. The rare Krefft’s tiger snake, Flinders Ranges worm-lizard, and striking lace monitor are among the national park’s 52 reptile …show more content…
There were some issues had been received included access for horses, bike riding opportunities, trails development, fire management programs. Every action should be associated with the management plan, which is an essential element. Base on this condition, park managers should draw up work programs to carry on the strategies in management plans each year. Three main issues should be considered which are ecological issue, management issue and conservation issue. The main ecological issue is biodiversity would be destroyed by visiting. In order to achieve protect biodiversity and cultural value, Mount Remarkable National Park has a vision that is for a reserve of outstanding natural beauty. Then the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972 provides for the designation of zones in a reserve. The purpose of it is to ensure management actions cannot affect the protection of park
The park abounds with bird life, some 70 of the 100 bird species known to live on the Darling Scarp have been recorded in the park. While picnicking here, it is also quite common to be joined by western grey kangaroos.
In the forest, near Zagan, lies the remains of what used to be the most inescapable camp for POWs (Prisoners of War) and was also known as Nazi Germany’s Alcatraz; Stalag Luft III. It was located 100 miles southeast of Berlin and it was here that one of the greatest escapes took place from what the Nazis thought was an impenetrable force. this paragraph is not long enough 2 sentences do not make a paragraph bold=2 different locations need a transition this camp had long huts that were perched on blocks so tunnels wouldn 't be hidden. There were watchtowers, barbed wire, fences, searchlights, armed guards, and microphones buried into the ground about nine feet deep to listen if someone was digging a tunnel. It also had dusty grey top soil and yellow sandy subsoil that made it easier (easy) for tunnels to collapse.
For hundreds of years historians have attempted to preserve our nation’s greatest wildlife national parks. In 1916, president Woodrow Wilson signed an act to create the National Park Service. This act was designed for the protection of the 35 national parks and monuments, also those yet to be announced. The act was important because it allowed the federal bureau the privilege to act upon anyone harming the national parks or monuments. Throughout the book Mark Spence expressed how the Wilderness Act that was passed in 1964 factored into the three different parks and the dispossession of the native indians.
The channel islands national park is different from the lassen peak national park because, the lassen peak national park is known for having all four types of volcanoes in the world and has twelve amphibians that inhabit this park. The lassen peak national park was created to cover the damage areas of the land and maintain the volcanic features. Lassen peak is in the eighteen-chain of the largest volcanoes in the united states. Lassen peak also is known as the largest plug dome volcano in the world and the southern volcano in the cascade range. There is twelve amphibians all together that are living in the national park they both can generate their own body heat.

Mammoth Caves National Park is the largest known cave system in the World that provides tourists with many venues for entertainment.
On the other hand, the west side of the region features land made from volcanoes. With our plan, all the areas can become conscious of humans, and the environment can stay clean. If the environment is and stays clean in the natural systems, the biodiversity of wildlife will be living in a healthier environment and succeed. If it becomes too polluted the biodiversity of the wildlife would likely decrease. It will not just affect one or two species, but all species of wildlife.
The dingo is the largest terrestrial predator in Australia, and plays an important role as an apex predator. However, the dingo is seen as a pest by livestock farmers due to attacks on animals. Conversely, their predation on rabbits, kangaroos and rats may be of benefit to graziers.
200 years ago, the world was shrouded in a gloomy darkness, and suspended in a chokehold of famine and violence. In April of 1815, the most powerful volcanic blast in recorded history erupted from Mount Tambora in the East Indies. It affected the climate and culture of many different reaches of the world. Mount Tambora’s eruption was one of the most devastating eruptions in history, and its effects were felt around the globe. However, it struck a mark culturally, and politically too.
National Parks 1972 National Parks in the country park announced. Park is situated in the Southern Flinders Ranges. It is within striking range of hills running north-west and pours the steep, 800 million-year-old sandstone forming a huge Hogback. With the excavation almost dead center of Australia Puritjarra Cave Rock Shelter thus finding out that the site had already been occupied 22 000 years ago. The Shelter had a floor space of 400 m². Shortly after it was shown to go back to around 32,000BP. Puritjarra Cave Rock Shelter was still used up to the 1930s when people went onto missionary stations in the western MacDonnell Ranges. I checked multiple sources to confirm that Michael Smith in 1987 had the first proof that 22 000 years ago it was occupied last.
The importance of surveying restoration at Organ Pipes National Park is because it would provide the scientific research, survey and monitoring that will commit to a better understanding and management of the Park. Organ Pipes NP is an important site for the preservation of native plant and animals and protecting the noteworthy geological features and historical of cultural and European settlements. The management framework is to safeguard the value of Organ Pipes NP location on fringe of metropolitan Melbourne in the North-West with conservancy and recreation at same time inviting the tourist to the area. With the management strategies for the Parks has been largely focus on the rehabilitation of the landscape with reduce of native vegetation
Through working with neighbours and stakeholders to manage and protect areas, helps to maximise a broader affect due to the more people that are helping to manage the ever-growing parks throughout South Australia and the Nation. These objectives help to assist with the natural adaption of species and ecosystem through reserve management as we are trying to preserve our natural state. Most tourist visit the spot to see the black beauty, they are only few left. Besides the black lemur, the national reserve is also home to other species including the mouse lemur, Gray-backed sportive lemur, some endemic birds (the Madagascar pygmy king fisher), Camaleon, frogs and snakes. Lemur’s park The lemur’s park is also known as parc de lemuriens a Madagascar.
The alien species under discussion in this essay is the Nile Perch. The Nile Perch is seen throughout much of the Afrotropic ecozone, as well as being native to the Nile, Senegal, Congo, Volta, Niger, Lake Turkana, and Lake Chad. The Nile Perch was introduced manually into Lake Victoria in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Lake Victoria covers a total of 69,000 square kilometres,
