Mr. Fezzwig In A Christmas Carol

In A Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge, a cold- hearted man, continues his greedy ways on Christmas Eve. He declines a dinner invitation from his nephew, Fred; he yells at a Gentlemen Visitor; and is rude his employee, Bob Cratchit. At night, Scrooge's former partner Jacob Marley, who has been dead for seven years, visits him. Marley tries to warn Scrooge to not be as greedy as he once was.  Later, the Spirit of Christmas Past, Spirit of Christmas Past, and Spirit of Christmas Present visit.

“Christmas is a Humbug” he says. The drama “A Christmas Carol” is about a man named who has a nasty attitude about Christmas. He is a greedy man who doesn’t want to donate anything to the poor and sick. He thinks that Christmas is a waste of time and money.

A Compare and Contrast Essay “I will honor Christmas in my heart and try to keep it all the year. ”(Dickens, 16). In this movie, A Christmas Carol, it is full of emotion and drama. Scrooge does not like Christmas until the three spirits help him see the true meaning of the season. The play and the movie are very similar in helping us through the story.

In the movie,The Christmas Carol, Scrooge visited his living during past , present , and future. Many people tried to make him less harsh and more vigorous. Scrooge was very cold-hearted with innocent people. The reason Scrooge did not like Christmas was because his partner died on Christmas Eve. People tried to persuade him to start liking Christmas.

During “A Christmas Carol”, Scrooge's Nephew , Fred, has always had a positive personality throughout the book. In the beginning of the story, Fred invites his Uncle Scrooge to Christmas dinner. Although he was declined harshly he still keeps his happy demeanor. “But I have made the trial in homage to Christmas and I’ll keep my humour to the last.’ ‘Merry Christmas Uncle!’

At the beginning of the novel “A Christmas carol” Scrooge can be interpreted as an archetypal villain (an extreme stereotype of a villain), this is inferred when Dickens describes Scrooge as an “old sinner”. The quote “old sinner” links in with the description of a villain as a sinner often someone who commits immoral acts regularly whilst disregarding Christian doctrine, considering the time the book was published (1800) committing a sin was a villainous act to do; therefore implying to the reader that Scrooge is a going to be a villainous character throughout the novel. In the first stave of Christmas Carol I think a theme is hate. Scrooge obviously doesn’t like Christmas, but dislikes those who even talk about it. When his nephew came in he said “merry christmas uncle Scrooge and may God save you!” This quote was on page 3. His nephew, obviously tries to get along with his uncle, but Scrooge refuses to cooperate.

The theme of this stave is greed, Scrooge's greed. He cares only about himself and his money. He hates the poor and anyone with less money than him. Scrooge hates and ignores anyone who is joyful and loves Christmas. He’ll even go to the extreme of hating his family.

A Christmas Carol is mainly about a old man named Ebenezer Scrooge who once had a partner named Jacob Marley, but after Marley died, Scrooge started to hate Christmas and was mean to everyone. One night, Scrooge saw Marley in his room and Marley said that Scrooge will be visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future. Finally, at the end Scrooge became nice and caring to prevent Tiny Tim (Scrooge’s worker, Mr. Cratchit, son) from dying, himself from dying, and the whole town becoming dark and dreadful. A Christmas Carol is a really good movie and book. Also, it gives you a sad, happy, and a scary mood.
