My fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Mackey made a positive effect on my life. She was a very impactful teacher who even today I speak to often. She went above and beyond to ensure that her students were achieving in her classroom. Mrs. Mackey had a relationship with every student in her class and kept up with us through our middle school and high school years. We had such a relationship that she wrote a recommendation letter for me when I was applying for scholarships. It had been over eight years since she taught me but because of the impact she made on my life we stayed in contact and she knew of every club and every position I ever attained in high school. Mrs. Mackey was definitely functioning at the stage four level of teaching and she was a
I have had many teachers throughout the years that have had a great impact on my attitude toward education. No instructor however has had such a huge impact in my life as Miss Mindy Sopher. I first saw her name as my academic advisor listed in My Pack Portal, or my online account at NC State. I had no idea what type of experience I would have with her. Last summer before my freshman year, I sent her an email introducing myself and she was quite impressed by my ambitions, especially becoming a “geographical engineer.”
When my sister was in the hospital for her pregnancy, mrs. Asberry asked me every single day how my sister was doing. Even now a year later she still ask how my sister and her baby is doing. There was also a few times in my class when people was sick she would ask how they were doing and ask if they was okay until they came back to school. She does care a lot for her students and for her former students.
He really made me change the way I did think about school and life. He is the perfect example of a high school teacher that goes the extra mile for a student. He is part of the reason why I am the way I am. He helped create Aaron Berry, the student/athlete leader of Euclid high
My math teacher never gave up hope on me he helped me as much as he could and although i wasn't anywhere as good at math as i would have like to be i was in a better place than what i left off. Once i transferred from hope to The Met my motivation, determination and and go getter attitude began to sprout more and i found myself finishing projects that weren't due for weeks ahead of time, i found myself helping my classmates complete work that i had already completed and it made me happy to have set goals for myself and accomplish them way ahead of time and it was nice knowing my advisor was proud of me too. I wish i would have had the mindset that i do now for my first 3 years in highschool a more mature, go getter, ready to learn and better myself mindset.
The education I received from her English class taught me more than new writing skills but that I had a teacher who wanted me to accomplish something great, and is apart of achieving a better experience of the students in my high school. This teacher who impacted my thoughts on the effects teachers can have is also a graduate from Appalachian State University which makes my desire to attend there so much greater, so that through the Reich college of education I can make myself someone as helpful and influential to her students as Ms. Hooper is. The small town I was born in, everyone knows everyone. I have grown up around the same people for these first 17 years of my life and have never seen the functions of anywhere except this small southern town.

Also, her fun personality and activities made me want to learn compared to other teachers who aren’t as fun. Her teaching has helped me because I was able to carry on what I learned from her class into 7th grade, where I used it to complete assignments such as essays. Ms. Maza has been a wonderful influence on my
Now I am on the high school dance team. Which wouldn’t have happened had I not fallen in love with the sport at such a young age. My teacher sparked a fire inside me which would not be easily put out. So, as you can imagine, I had a hard time with all of it. Because without her, I would definitely not the person and dancer I am today.
Nursing has been around since ancient times. People have needed the healing hands of nurses for thousands upon thousands of years. In Africa, the healing techniques of witch doctors and medicine men were taught to chosen children. The medicine men and witch doctors were like the nurses for the entire village. However, these more primitive techniques have evolved into much more evidence-based practices.
“Morrie a teacher to the end” Tuesdays with Morrie is a novel about a teacher who truly taught to the end after he found out he had ALS he didn 't stop teaching. His last class was with mitch born he came on Tuesdays and would talk to more about love, life/death, and rejection of popular belief. Morrie and mitch have talked about love a good amount throughout the book. (52)“The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love and to let it come in”. It 's easy to love someone else but a lot of people seem to have issues letting someone else love them because we are afraid of what might happen.
While doing my undergraduate studies in Psychology I got the opportunity to meet many great professors that helped me to become the graduate student I am today. During my first year in The University of Puerto Rico I took an advanced literature course with a brilliant professor that could analyze any story in a manner that was not only understandable but also interesting. I was mesmerized, but not by her knowledge but by the teaching methodology she employed to project that knowledge. I ended up taking three more courses with her that led to the development of a great friendship that I cherish to this day. Throughout my undergraduate years I had the privilege of meeting several professors just like her that influenced my personal and professional
I feel that I had two teachers that really made an impact on me. One of them was my speech teacher Mrs. Miers. I would see Mrs. Miers two to three times a week . And during time we would practice my english and how to pronounce my words correctly. Mrs. Miers would regularly check on me and have frequent meetings with my parents.
When I was 14 years old and afraid of practically everything, my music teacher came up to me during class out of the blue and told me, “I am so grateful that a kid like you is in this program.” At the time, I didn’t really understand what he meant, but I held onto the idea that hopefully I would be able to live up to the way he talked about me. Here I am three years later, getting to say all the long hours and hard work I put into our music department helps me not only make myself better, but to better the kids around me who will eventually take my place. And it all started with a little grateful comment. Gratitude is something we all define a little differently, but can have one of the most influential impacts on our lives when used correctly.
As I mentioned previously, I was the first family member to attend college, and while my family was there to support me they really didn’t understand the college process. Mrs. Gaines is a prime example of how a teacher can make a difference in a student’s life, without her help I may not have attended a four year university, and instead I probably would have opted to go a different route. What she did had a lasting impact on my life and I would like to do the same for my students. Whether that means helping a student through the college process, or assisting them with a dilemma they are facing outside of school. I want to pay it forward by using the teaching skills Mrs. Gaines taught me as well as the experiences we had and bring them into my classroom.
The work values she instilled in me made me the hard worker I am, from my first job ever to all the hard work I am putting into my education now. I thank her so much for this because if I didn't have that in me I don't know where I would be today. She also raised me with a strong faith in
