1. My significant contribution that I have made to Mount St. Ursula cannot be seen or touched, but, felt in the hearts of my wonderful teachers and classmates. My strong positivity has filled the environment of my school. I’ve often been told that I make optimistic impacts on many people’s lives. My amazing personality makes me a unique individual in my school amongst the cluster of young ladies. Also, my respect and patience for the staff and my peers set me apart as an individual in my school. My role in Mount St. Ursula empowers young women to lead with great attributes which are why it sets me apart from other applicants from other schools. I motivate, encourage and give knowledge to those who need it. 2. During the last four years at Mount St. Ursula, I began as a freshman with many challenging obstacles. Transitioning from public school to catholic school was a huge obstacle to overcome. This transitioning helped me grow physically and intellectually. My mind was constantly challenged. I gained knowledge from this experience and learned how to apply it to certain situations. Growing intellectually requires one to take in new knowledge and that is exactly what I have done during my last four years at Mount St. Ursula. …show more content…
My greatest academic strengths include critical thinking, critical reading, creativity, listening skills, and perseverance. I’ve gained these strengths by challenging myself academically. My greatest academic weaknesses include a short attention span, cramming, and not being a good test
For two of my qoutes I decided to take them from some of my favorite books. I Chose my first quote, taken from Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, because Fahrenheit 451 was for the most part my first step into classic literature and has inspired me to continue reading and striving to know more about literature and novels and the many worlds contained within their pages. I’ve always found this quote especially inspirational considering how much I want to travel as I get older in order to experience the world in as many ways as possible. The quote was taken from my favorite part of Fahrenheit 451, as the protagonist learned of the world and people long forgotten by the new era of technology, he began to realise what the world had lost when it began burning books and art and that we need such things to have depth in our lives.
Not only will I be receiving an excellent education, I will also be learning to grow into a more spiritual, moral person. At St. Brigid’s School, I have done my best to be a good student. I work hard and study to achieve academic success, and I ask my parents and teachers for help if I don’t understand a concept I have been learning. During my time at St.
In our community, I always strive to help others and the environment, and the people all around. I have assisted in the community cleanup at my local library and also the garbage cleanup at the beach. These actions that I have made helped shape my amazing experience at Wisdom Lane Middle School and they will help me shape my future for the better. These actions helped me build great relationships with the teachers in my school and even the principal. These pillars have helped me succeed in my three years of middle school and help me prepare for the rest of my years no matter what school I go to.
I’m very proud with my character I have shown. Outstanding character to me is being responsible, honest, and generous. As I feel happy helping others out with a subject they may struggle with. Now I don 't just apply my character at school, but also outside in the community. Personally I feel that it’s important to give back to communities.
By being a part of the legacy of Baird Scholars, I could be a student who represents the core of what the Baird community is, a student who pushes them-self to work hard, serve others, and become interdependent with others so that we may all grow stronger and smarter together as a
I hope to bring diversity to all who walk on the campus. My background has shaped me into the intelligent African American woman I am today. Without growing up in the “hood”, I may have not been able to find the best career that interested me. I also would not have been able over all the challenges thrown at me. Instead I remained determined and motivated so that I was able to achieve all of the goals set before me.
Even in Catholic school I always wanted to feel freer and challenge the predetermined behavior I had to follow. I often felt confused because I knew I had to be a certain way but I knew I was losing a part of myself by doing so. I did not want to lose a sense of creativity and personality by conforming to the ways of Catholic school. I knew in my last year of attending the school that I would no longer have to lose a part of myself and I would be free.
After all the years I have worked hard it has paid off which is why I am where I am today with a 4.236 weighted GPA and a 3.727 unweighted GPA. Another quality I have that will help me contribute to your community
I sacrificed my time to help plan for the Relay for Life. The Relay for Life event changed people's lives because it inspired them to donate money to cancer research and to help join the fight to end cancer. The character pillar has shaped by development by making the excellent choices. I started helping out for the community in any way possible. I have gained a lot of responsibility through the National Honor Society because I was responsible for writing a Relay for Life speech and delivering a speech for the American Cancer Society.
This spring semester, I supposed all my writings had both several strengths and weaknesses. I found that one of my strengths was how I was easily able to
Having a Catholic education has changed me as a person over the many years I have been at St. Cecilia School. My teachers and friends have taught me so many things about always trusting God, and they have taught me to stay on my path to heaven. Being able to attend a Catholic school is an opportunity of a lifetime and I am very grateful to be able to have that opportunity. Also, I am very thankful to have been able to spend ten years at St. Cecilia, be able to spend four more years at a Catholic school, and learn about my faith even

Throughout my high school career, I was forced into many situations where I was challenged to connect with my peers and serve as a role model for future students. Whether it be my involvement in the school marching band, or helping students in community tutoring sessions, I have always made it my goal to better the people around me through my own efforts. Throughout my high school career, I have put forth my best effort to connect with my peers, transform individuals, and make a difference in my community. Joining the school marching band at the beginning of my freshman year of high school was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Strengths: As a student one of my strengths is organization. I can say I can keep my school materials and notebooks organized in a way that I and others can comprehend. The reason I can say I am organized is because, I have hardly ever had in the past or present any issues with trying to find homework or assignments because I always kept my materials for each class organized and in a place I could easily find. Another strength I have is social skills. I can believe that I communicate with others well in a group.
I had people who looked up to me. It meant so much to me that some of my peers saw me as an inspiration. I distinguished myself the most
