Mauna Kea Imagine the most breath- taking view. Do you think you could ever stop looking? If there was one place I 'd like to go, it would be Mauna Kea. Mauna Kea is a shield/ hotspot volcano located on the Big Island of Hawaii. I want to go to Mauna Kea because of the beautiful summit, exciting topography, as well as the otherworldly drive up and down the mountain.
The volcano I pick was Mt Mauna Loa. This volcano has erupted about 32 times for the eruption of 1984. Mauna Loa is about 600,000- 1 million years old and hasn’t erupted as much as Kilauea and when it erupts it produces huge rivers of lava and threatens towns nearby. Mauna Loa is the second tallest volcano in the world. The elevation is 13,679 feet high.

It is a time honored tradition that nearly everyone in the United States does. We end up going to Las Vegas, the city of sin, so that we can have a weekend, or week of fun under the sun of Nevada. Parties, gambling, drinking, and more happens daily in the jewel of the desert. Much like the modern day jewel of the United States, ancient Rome also had a jewel of its own, known as Pompeii. In this city, much like Las Vegas, parties, gambling, drinking, and more happened every day around the clock; however, unlike Las Vegas, Pompeii was also a hub of trade and business.
Pompeii, Italy is a city lost in time. Following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79, the city was buried along with most of its inhabitants. The daily lives of the people of Pompeii can be predicted, but full assurance is not possible. For the quaint city at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, time stands still. Many archeologists and history experts have explored the remains of Pompeii to gain a better insight on the lives of the deceased.
There are many natural disasters that affect the world, for example, volcanoes. Mount St. Helens is known to be the most active volcano in the Cascade Range in Washington; effecting the people and the state. It was first recognized as a volcano in 1835! Before the eruption on May 18,1980, Mount St. Helens was a beautiful symmetrical cone, 3,000 meters above sea level. For most of the 20th century, many people viewed this mountain and recreation area as a beautiful and peaceful place, but after the volcano erupted in 1980 that view point was shattered.
The quake cost 3,000 people their lives and not only rattled the residences of San Francisco, but people from Oregon to L.A and as far inland as Nevada(history.com).
However, the eruption on May 18th was a true surprise. Within minutes, the mountain went from calm and quiet to become one of the greatest powerful natural disaster ever recorded in the U.S-
Julius Caesar was a politician, general, and dictator. In all, four main consecutive eruptions, and the fourth and final one was incredibly powerful: the ash column was propelled to about 80 kilometers of height, with a speed of more than 1000 kilometers per hour. The shockwave that preceded the explosion reverberated seven times around the Earth globe and the sound that followed the eruption wrecked the eardrums of all the sailors of the ships around the island. The official number of killed people is about 36 thousands, but some source say that it could be 120 000 or even more. So that eruption was one of the worst the modern humanity had ever
