A murder has happened, and the murder has framed in innocent. Indian Joe has murdered Doctor Robinson, and framed Mutt Potter, but the whole ordeal was witnessed by Huck and Tom, both being kids. But lately he has had nightmares about the murder, and is faced with the decision to tell or not to tell that is the question, and in my opinion he should. Because there is a murderous man still out there, Muff Potter was framed, and the terror that Huck and Tom went through and are still living through. First reason why he should end everything of this situation. The man Joe who was responsible for the murderer, which could result in even more murders or even more innocent people being framed. Also with Injun Joe being still able to walk the streets this poses many dangers, one if Joe finds out that he was being watched by Tom and Huck he could either try to kill them to insure his safety or just make it hard for them to tell. …show more content…
Muff Potter is a alcoholic who almost every night he is drunk, and this night to be drunk was a mistake. Him, Injun Joe, and Doctor Robinson went to the graveyard to what we know was to grave rob. But the pay that Joe and Muff were supposed to get, was cut and Joe did not take this kindly grabbing Muff’s knife killing the Doc and framing Muff. Which the consequence for this is not prison it’s a hanging, which means a framed man who did not kill Doc. Robinson is being framed. Which is going to lead to the death of Muff if Tom doesn’t tell. Tom can avoid a non deserving man's
The Tragedy of Puddn’head Wilson is written by Mark Twain, and published in 1894. This is a story about a slave servant named Roxana, who is owned by the noble Judge Driscoll. The judge’s wife, and Roxana had given birth simultaneously to boys on the same day. Roxy, who named her son Valet de Chambre, had a mandated responsibility of raising the heir, Tom Driscoll after his mother dies. After a while, Roxy began to compare the two children’s fate.
Lastly, the conflicts in the story demonstrate the struggles and trials Dooley goes through, in an attempt to create a new beginning. The first conflict is faced by Dooley at the very starting of the novel, when he gets questioned for the death of Mark Everley. For example, the author narrates, “The homicide cop asked Dooley if he knew the dead kid. Dooley hesitated again. He didn’t like the way the homicide kept his eyes on him and never one looked away, like he thought that if he did, he might miss the one thing that would let him nail Dooley” (McClintock 11).
Thomas Harris once said “I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti.” There are so many bad things in the world but according to many, cannibalism is considered just about the worst. Depending on your point of view, it rises above even such criminal abominations as, rape and genocide. Jeffrey Dahmer, serial killer and sex offender, murdered 17 males between 1978 and 1991. July 22, 1991 was the day Dahmer's killing spree came to an end.
On November 30th, Joe ran away from his master, Thomas Bowyer. Joe is about forty-six years old, and around the height of 5 ’10. When speaking to this man he has a very smooth, and soft voice. When drinking liquor he becomes a very religious man. Bowyer says that he can read print very well, is a great liar, and can deceive anyone that does not know him.
Muff Potter was always known as the town drunk. Muff Potter was also at the wrong place at the wrong time. He is seen digging up a body at the cemetery for Dr. Robinson (96). Injun Joe is tired of Dr. Robinson’s games and demands a raise. He then tries to kill him (97).
There have been ten mysterious deaths that has still not been solved. As a matter of fact, the Hall-Mills murder is one of the mysterious murders that has still not have been solved. This mysterious case happened in 1922 and it has been 96 years since the murder and they still have not solved the case. The mystery behind the Hall-Mills murder can be summed up in two theories: the wife and her brother are the murders and Hayes is the killer.
Therefore he set out to hunt down the perpetrator to bring him to “justice”, even if it was by his own hands. It would only be fair to seek out revenge! It was not going to be any other way! Joe wanted an eye for an eye and he was determined to get it!
Certain events in life can affect people in many different ways, such as causing them to change their priorities. In Contents of a Dead Man’s pocket, written by Jack Finney, Tom’s priorities are set on work first and family later, but those soon begin to shift after a dramatic event takes place in his life. People’s priorities can be focused on something as simple as work like in Tom’s case, and sometimes they need a close to death situation to give them a wake up call. When people’s priorities are misaligned they tend to know but not accept the fact, they may even have a hot guilty conscience just like Tom. One 's life events can transform their priorities, it can cause them to look differently at the life they’re living.
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, we are here today to discuss the murder of John Wright. On November 15, Mr. Wright was found in his bed with a rope around his neck, presumably strangled to death. His body was discovered by his wife supposedly and did not bother to notify to the local authorities. At eight o'clock in the morning, Mr. Hale went to look for Mr. Wright and found Minnie, Mr. Wright’s wife, sitting in a rocking chair inside of the house. Mr. Hale asked Minnie for her husband and she stated that John Wright was dead in the bedroom.
The Crucible by Arthur Miller and Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne are two stories that are based on mass hysteria and public shaming. Both stories and their topics are what helped to shape America’s early identity. In The Crucible, the townsfolk accept and become active in the hysterical climate not only out of genuine religious piety but also because it gives them a chance to express repressed sentiments and to act on long-held grudges”. This shows that there is mass hysteria in the story based on the quotation and its explain why people have mass hysteria or why they do it. A group of teenage girls is discovered dancing naked in the woods by the town minister.
In Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Tom Sawyer the main character Tom testified against Injun Joe in court. Ever since then, Tom’s conscience has been racking him about what Injun Joe may do next now that most people know the truth of the crime, Injun Joe committed the murder. Injun Joe has even been talking about getting some “revenge”. Injun Joe will most likely get revenge on Tom because of what Injun joe has said and done. To start, in the novel it has been stated that Injun Joe has killed once and he may kill again and he said, “‘Tain’t robbery altogether--it’s revenge!”
“War turns men into beasts,” Mrs. Meeker explained (Collier and Collier 140). In the novel My Brother Sam is Dead by James and Christopher Collier, Tim Meeker watched the Revolutionary War rage on. In the town of Redding Ridge, Connecticut Tim and his family, which includes his father, mother, and brother, are mostly Tories, except for Tim’s older brother, Sam who has joined the war, fighting for the Patriots. Through the story, Tim is struggling to decide which side he supports—the Patriots or the British, or whether he supports or disagrees with war. Although both sides of war are shown, authors Collier and Collier ultimately argue that war is futile.
In Montana 1948 by Larry Watson, the Haydens face a terribly difficult decision between justice and family. The novel shows that justice is a better choice than family, especially when a family member commits a crime. Even though justice was never served since Uncle Frank ended up killing himself, the Haydens were going through the motions to get justice. The narrator of the story’s Uncle Frank is a rapist that rapes his Native American patients. When Uncle Frank was found out by the majority of his family, there was some confusion, but the one person who’s decision mattered chose justice.
In Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird, an irrefutable decision is made by county sheriff Heck Tate to disguise the death of Bob Ewell. Ewell, infamous for his contemptible reputation, attacks the Finch children with an intent to kill. Thankfully for the children, Boo Radley kills Ewell before any permanent damage is done. As the sheriff, it is Heck Tate’s job to report the incident and detain all suspects and criminals, but this time he does not.
The theory used in this journal pertains to the race, age, and gender of a serial killer; how they kill, the race, age, and gender of the victim; and how the killer lived before and during the killings. Before beginning his own study, Pakhomou (2004) found that “Serial (sexual killers are believed to be mostly white males in their twenties and thirties (at the time of the crimes) with above-average intelligence who commit intra-racial (within the same racial group) murders of strangers” (p. 220). Approximately half of them never had consensual sex with another adult, some joining the military, about half did not finish high school, and they had a history of burglary and sexual offenses prior to murders. There is no set reason or evidence that explains why people commit sexual homicide; however, there are many theories. One set factor that all researchers agree on is that “the most monstrous and most perverse sexual acts are usually committed by persons of sound mind, who are functionally rigid (in terms of a number of activities that they carry on), obsessed with fantasy and who have a determination to do what they want” (Pakhomou, 2004, p. 221).
