Music education is found to be essential in early childhood development. The Kodály Method was developed by Zoltán Kodály, who transformed music education in Hungary. The outcome of Kodály’s idea is a systematic music education system. The children been working on beginning letter sounds and this lesson is a new learning strategy to reinforce the concept in a fun and appealing song that help reproduce the sound patterns. Have been working with ELL students on letter sounds at beginning of words. Been going over the farmer in the del song and naming the animals on the farm as background knowledge and something to relate to the children to see the sound at the beginning match the animals. Students will be observed by the teacher as they are singing the song and making the beginning letter sounds. The teacher will be looking for the correct pronunciation of each word and sound isolations.

In addition, they will learn sounds and ability to acting and learn the numbers during the songs/games. Finger play activity will be present. I enrolled in chorus class at the end of 8th grade thinking that it was just going to be a boring music class that was required to graduate. I haven’t been in a chorus class since I was in 3rd grade.
