Mutual Respect is important when working within a childhood and care setting e.g. Childcare. This is important because
 You would need to build trust and be honest with children and families. This is to be done so that parents trust the educator and centre and feel safe when leaving their child.
 You need to build a relationship with the child and try and work with the parent in giving the best service to their child.
 Communicate effectively and appropriately with the children and family members.
 Men and women should be both equally treated and appreciate, this must be done under the equality act 2010.
Diversity is very important within childcare as Australia is a very multicultural country, there will be a lot of worker and children
