I went to the practicum school alone and I observed a day of student. The aim of this activity get knowledge about what is student’s daily life in school. This observation will be beneficial for me because of knowing student better. My student is Habib and he is from Afghanistan. He who was pretty good at orientation in the class was eager toward the lesson so that he participated. When I spoke my mentor about Habib, she told me that Habib didn’t get used to be in class at the beginning and he was so naughty. This situation shows that every student couldn’t adapt to the classroom environment. As a teacher, we should observe our student more closely and take precaution against such these situations. He participated in the activities during the lesson, was aware of his homework and responsibilities, but he constantly disturbed his friends by talking unnecessarily and stood on the foot constantly. To learn more about this situation, I asked the teacher if this student is hyperactive. Then she said that the learner 's situation is better than the old one and he is not hyperactive person. When Habib was naughty in classroom, teacher just warned him about his behavior during the lesson. However, I didn’t use this method if I were my mentor. According to the information I learned in the course of educational sciences, whenever a student has too much energy, the teacher constantly gives him the appropriate task so that the student can get …show more content…
That’s why as a teacher, I try to minimize this situation by taking help school counselor. I went to the practicum school alone and I observed a day of student. This is previously unknown to myself, as students tend to try and make friends during this period and often leads to many decisions that one would not otherwise make. Another piece of information that has always been a personal question of mine is whether
I see these students in the hallways now as high school students and the bond created in the classroom last year was not broken. Tim was one of the worse students in the class, and somedays that was putting it lightly. The teachers struggled to get him to listen and participate. However, the combination of him and I worked. I had enough spunk to match his stubbornness.
As the day went on, students were then encouraged to visit other classrooms as well. They were also given a chance to give their feedback by rating it with a ticket with three colors stating the words Kaakit - akit, Marikit, at Maganda. Because of this, each class was sparked with determination to attract more audience. Like their earlier presentations, they showed their conceptions to each and every inquisitive student that entered their rooms. Students, as always, were ready to give their best in every performance
In addition family and or relationship issues are another reason students may be
I come to class with excited feeling and joy to learn and work with children and staff in this class. I dress appropriated clothes and comfort to work with children all day long. I avoid absences and spend as much as possible time in class to learn and be with children. I get used to the classroom routine schedule and ask with my colleague and teachers activities and events that occur between children that I don’t understand. I remain positive attitude in the classroom all the time.
Teachers should have an understanding and know how to deal with students from this particular background. When a student is experiencing
Further observation of the student leads me to believe that he was a confident and fun
Rationale From observation majority of the students are faced with social, personal and academic challenges. They are at the stage Identity
It is a well known fact that parents love their children and they want the best for them but a one-on-one learning environment can actually be detrimental. Giving a student all of the attention does not prepare a student for the future. Not teaching a student
Family is people that are the closest to these students, they should be more understanding, open and patient to listen to their children’s worries and problems about universities’ lives (“Coping with bad grades”, n.d.). Friends are another group of people that these students can talk to. Sometimes these students do not possess any help-seeking behaviors so parents and friends have to be observant and approach them first. They might be reluctant at first but if they feel that they can believe in the people they are talking to, they will express their feelings and worries about universities lives. After the talk, parents should understand the reasons why these students are having hard times at universities and feeling stress.
During both observation days there was no behavior problems. It was a well obtained class, and I am excited to continue participating in this classroom. One student during the classes library visit came up and gave me a big hug. He would not let go for the longest time. This class has a special place in my heart and I only been in there two times.
According to Lewis (2009) in his book “Understanding Pupil Behaviour: Classroom Management Techniques For Teachers” mentioned that there are some effects if the teachers don’t know about the students’ characteristics such as stress and Post-Guru Syndrom. Stress happens when they feel unable to maintain an classroom in which students can get on with their work and teachers can teach without unnecessary interruption, it is usually part of failure teacher in managing the classroom misbehavior of students and Post-Guru Syndrom happens when the teachers become inconsistent to implement the appropriate technique in teaching for students and finally
I will go outside with the student and ask them why they are disrupting class. I will talk to the student and tell him/her that I have asked numerous times to stop talking, now if the behavior continues after entering class again I will send the student to the principals office. Students will be able to recognize that certain behaviors are not
Teachers like these make high school difficult. This paper discusses traits of bad teachers, and the study habits they fail to create, in their students. Firstly, a bad teacher is someone who comes into class, and reads from his/her notes, and gives one a problem to work on for an hour with no input from the teacher at all. Bad teachers don’t have class management making it easy to clown around and not pay attention.
While the students are viewed as empty vessels who receive knowledge form the teacher through teaching and direct
