Without my own personal motivation to become a physical therapy assistant, I doubt I would have enrolled in college. Motivation is what initiates and maintains goal-oriented behavior. The forces that lie beneath motivation can be biological, emotional, social, or cognitive. My biological theory of motivation to attend school is my subconscious drive to achieve excellence. I have an inner desire to be successful in life. I grew up in a more than comfortable home and I know that a college education is what it takes to maintain my lifestyle. My motivation, in this case, would be my standard of living.
My intrinsic motivation for attending college is the challenge that comes with being in school. I plan to support my family after graduation, and encourage my siblings to a higher education.
Many time we are asked why we do the things we do. What is our motivation for the things we do? Does someone tell us it do it or do we do it because it’s fun? You can find motivation in many strange and different things. Motivation can be derived from family or friends, personal interest, and even conflict.
The first reason is motivation because everyone has to be determined to go to college. Everyone needs to have the drive and push yourself everyday to go to college because anybody can say they will go to college and never end up going to college, and every year they could say, “I am going to go,” and never actually go. To also have your family and friends push you to go to college and get some type of education. To be able to not give up once you start to push yourself everyday to

Motivation is defined as the process that guides, initiates, and maintains goal-oriented behaviours (Cherry, 2015). It comes when a person is willing to sacrifice his own time, money and energy to do well in a particular task. Why People Should Not Go to College People should not go to college because is difficult to find out what career choice as a result of the inexperience and little information, the potential loans are overwhelming, and the huge necessity to start working immediately after school. In fact, individual emotional and motivational aspects should be considered [17]. Motivation is defined as a desire to make an attempt in order to perform duties and responsibilities and to use individual skills [18]. Extrinsic motivation is the opposite of intrinsic drives that people will act in a certain way based on external incentives. The most common form of external motivation is financial rewards. In today 's society, many people commonly use money as an extrinsic motivation in order to contribute better behavior. However, non-financial rewards should be used to improve people 's performances, which comes from praise and individual recognition as intrinsic motivation. “To be motivated means to be moved to do something” (Deci & Ryan, 2000).
