How to Plan a First Birthday Party? Five weeks ago, I threw a first birthday party for my daughter who was turning one. This is my first kid and I was very excited. I started visiting stores several weeks before looking for decorations and party supplies. The variety of items at the store wore me out. I quickly realized I had to know exactly what I needed if I didn’t want to end up buying things that I probably wouldn 't be using at all. I went back home, grabbed a piece of paper and started to make a plan. First I defined my budget, then made a list of people I should invite. I finally chose the theme and made my shopping plan. Everything became easier, and the party was a success. This simple and easy process can benefit young mothers by helping them save time and money.
