She states that leadership tasks in school may gain the student a better chance of getting into that school they want to go to after high school. Or that getting closer to the administrative leaders and teachers may benefit the student in a long run. She has a high political role and she talks about her own story in order to influence the students in a good way. She talks about her journey getting from bottom to the top, about her goals, dreams and all the fighting along the way. “Of course, I struggled”, and “my story, can be your story”, she states, trying to tell the students that ‘she’s been there’ and that she understands their struggle.
One of the reasons I have chosen to teach is because I want to be able to help others succeed. For some reason my heart tells me that the one way you can create change and save people who are in need, is by educating them and showing them the right path to success. Many kids and even adults all just want someone to care and extend a hand that can create a sort of guidance for them. People all across the country talk about change, about trying to save people, but I’ve realized that to do that, education is the key. Growing up I have always wanted to help people, so I thought hard and figured out that the most effective way I can do that is by becoming a teacher and showing students that me and everyone in this classroom can become the next president or the next person to cure a disease.
I want to improve the CPS systems especially, because of work overload a lot of children are suffering. Eventually, I would like to open my own agency that will not only empower and/or encourage children to be there better self but will also secure them a future in life. An agency that is truly going to bring in positive and great results and would not consist of burnouts/work overload. Experience as a Student In undergraduate school, there were a lot of good moments, as well as struggling moments. There were times that I wanted to quit, but that was not
As teachers goals are very numerous it is important to highlight a strong goal, teacher work hard to make the students more independent and self-confident enough to make them speak up for themselves and to solve problems by thinking critically. Life skill programs are encouraged by many teachers, the purpose of holding such classes are to make students more responsible, to develop a moral courage and to proceed in their life. These are some common goals of a teacher which they would want their students to adapt in their self. As a teacher I personally believe that students learning environment should be beneficial for the rest of their lives. It is very important for students to adapt good characteristics in their self in order to be a successful human outside the learning area (Kasich,
Why I Am Considering a Career in Education Nicole Drain University of Arkansas Fort Smith My choice to look at a career in education is not a decision that has been an easy one. I believe that the education of children is one of the most important jobs adults have in the world. Teachers have the ability to make a difference in a child’s life. Teaching can be challenging job with many frustrations, but the rewards of teaching are numerous. I love children and want to help them learn.
I think that it is positive but also it is more difficult to respond to their different needs and interest. On some occasions I felt a little overwhelmed in the second year of primary when a child (with ADHD) was constantly requesting my support, but other children needed support as well. -The greatest resource that teachers have is other teachers. I believe that it is essential teacher believe in teamwork and innovation. The different school committees require teamwork between teachers (e.g.
But there were also values that were not taught like commitment that helped teach me there are some values that not everyone learns about until later in life. I think these are some of the top priority of the values children should learn because these are the values that help you become a better person in society. The values taught to me were probably similar to the ones many children learned while growing up; being honest, doing the right thing, working hard and perseverance in tough situations. These were some values I remember learning at home and in school while I was growing up. These will definitely be taught to my children and children in my classroom in the future.
Education is and will always be important to me because it is the main source in building a better life for myself and for my family. My family, especially my dad, would constantly tell me that I have to excel in school because if I decided to throw all that away, then I will struggle in life like they did. The magic words were always, “I want you to have a better life
Parents, celebrities, and religious figures can all be examples of role models.Growing up I had great, supportive parents; although they supported me, I had other role models in my life—my educators. My high school and middle school experience taught me an a lot about myself and other people;every student grows and has different personalities. At Norris City-Omaha Enfield High School I had some great and amazing teacher that influence me and completely changed my outlook on life. Without my educators my outlook on life would be totally different;teachers always told me that I can do whatever I wanted to pursue. Many of my goals were accomplished because of my educators;they have inspired me to reach another goal of mine—becoming a teacher. I hope one day that I will have an effect on students as much as my teachers had on me.
Although I had always been trying to search my classes to detect any deficiencies in my teaching or any problems in the class, and afterwards to find some solutions to make my teaching more effective, I had not realized that the teacher in the teaching context could be so functional. Previously, for me, teachers were organizers, motivators or facilitators in the class. But now I know that they can be a teacher, an observer, a coach, a mentor or a researcher. In other words, now, I perceive the teacher as an agent who is capable of fulfilling many functions in achieving higher levels of learning among learners. Consequently, now I think of teachers as more functional and stronger in their profession than I used to consider before.
