During the course of study, I was acquainted to diverse courses like Analog and Digital Communications, Microprocessor and Microcontrollers, Linear and digital integrated circuits, Satellite Communications, Digital Signal Processing. All these subjects provided me with a strong footing in the theoretical concepts of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. I secured good results in my engineering. I attended few computer programming courses and got well versed in programming languages like C, C++ and JAVA. During my final year of engineering, I did a project on control of nonlinear system on performance basis using soft computing technique which I presented in National level conference held in Kongunadu Engineering College.
I chose biological sciences as my higher secondary school major because it is a fascinating subject. During my senior secondary school, I came across a lot of journals and Ted talks, which along with my passion for computers created a great drive within me to pursue a specialization in the field of computer science. To further my pursuit in the field of computer science, I decided to do my undergraduate major in
I was amazed by the things that this machine can do. Though initially, I spent most of my time playing video games, with the introduction to the world of internet, I started becoming more aware of the abundant information available online and started to play with operating systems. That made me choose Computer Science from the list of options available once I graduated from High School and I also secured 199/200 in my Higher Secondary Exam. Irrespective of scoring 95% in my Higher Secondary Exam, I was unable to choose my undergraduate major in Computer Science at my dream university instead I chose Ceramic Technology as my major since I have always dreamt of joining the best university (Anna University) in my state. As a freshman and sophomore in college, I had a couple of information technology subjects and practical labs in which I expressed huge interest and always ended up scoring high grades.
I appreciated this assignment most because it pushed me to bring my research out of just the Internet, and into first-person experiences in the real world. This made a career in tech seem like real life. As well, my favorite lecture in Y100 thus far was the great explanation of front-end versus back-end careers. I had never even heard those terms used before, and to hear about career options and what they do in day-to-day life was essential in helping me to define exactly was I was looking for in a career. I had experience with front-end projects without even knowing it while taking a business presentations
What is the mechanism involved in this? Automobile has always been my forte and captured my interest. Right from childhood my family and relatives used to call me an automobile maniac. And today if I am able to introduce myself as a Mechanical Engineer, it’s mainly because of the interest that was set in when I was a child. Here is my journey as a Mechanical Engineering Student in the Last few years; Having secured 91.25% in high school gave me the ideal opportunity to solve the enigma behind automobiles.
And I know for sure the master program of Computer Engineering at University of Texas at Austin (UT) will help me with my goal and direct me through the right academic career path. After I finished high school I immediately applied for engineering college in King Abdulaziz University (KAU) without any hesitation. I knew that Computer Engineering is the right path for me. In KAU I refine my academic skills and my knowledge in that field. During my study I took a course in Microprocessor with Professor Muhammed Shafiq and there was a turning point of my academic life I discovered my strengths in that class I noticed how competitive I become when I work under challenging environment.
Since my school days, my best quality has been my curiosity. My keen interest in learning new ideas, when combined with my inner desire to reach a degree of excellence in every endeavor, enabled me to acquire significant knowledge in various aspects of nature and technology. My undivided attention towards computer science goes back to the time I was in school. This interest has only grown through the years, as I have learnt more and more about the subject. Consequently, I took part in a discussion group of senior high school teachers who motivated me to opt for computer science as my career.
Those initial high school years of dabbling with OOP through C++, helped shape my career path. To satisfy my need to learn more, I decided to pursue Computer Science as a major in my undergraduate degree from Ryerson University. Being in the midst of professors and peers in a stimulating academic environment made learning an enjoyable experience.
My passion for mathematics, and the wide array of courses in my undergraduate curriculum made the process easier. Machine learning piqued my interest and I decided to explore the field by securing an internship at Boston Analytics, where I worked on applying clustering algorithms to analyze market size and segmentation for an MNO developing software products. I also identified key industry trends and potential growth opportunities for the client in both nonprofit and for-profit sector. The internship reinforced my confidence in learning computer science and switching to the field. Furthermore, I also learnt web development while setting up the website of Wings of Desire, an NGO I established with a few
I spent hours exploring features of the computer on my own. Gradually when I came to know of the innumerable prestigious career opportunities in this coveted field during my school days, I decided to pursue a career in Computer Sciences. As the first step towards fulfilling my dream, I chose mathematics, physics, and chemistry as my major subjects. These subjects stimulated in me the interest and enthusiasm for a career in Science and Technology. I was ranked 4283th among 1,37,560 students in entrance exam I joined NMAM Institute of Technology, one of the well-established college in Computer Science branch affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University.
