When we got to the dog pound there was a lot of loud barking noises from the dogs. It sounded like screaming people at a concert. When I walked in it smelled like a bunch of animals “Here we go.” My mom said with excitment. It was weird how nervous I was didn’t expect to feel this way. But just then the dog that we picked came out. It was beautiful, the dogs pretty eyes popped out with its blue crystal color. “Here you go!” The worker at the dog pound said with excitement. “ Ok thanks.” my mom said “ready to go?” My dad asked with a big smile on his face. Then we walked out the door. When we were in the car i held him on my lap. I touched his pretty black and brown fur. As he fell asleep on my lap i felt him panting from the heart beat. When we got home he sniffed around because the place was new to him. He had never been here before. My Grandpa used to tell me “No one has ever become poor by giving.” Friday, August 19th, 2009, I shall never forget what I learned at the “Trenton Soup Kitchen”. I never expected to be serving homeless people; after all, it was my birthday. My Grandpa picked me up in his 1956 red station waggon. I remembered the stories he used to tell me about how every summer he used to take his car to the annual “New Jersey Car Festival.”
Sat in my room looking at the wall waiting for my best friend Lue to come over, all of a sudden I hear a knock on the old rusty wooden door. I race out of my room, down the wooden squeaky stairs. I open up the door and hug my best friend Lue. My dog Charlie races to the door and rans around Lue. He is happy to see Lue.
Next Dad asked me where I wanted to go today. I said “I don't care.” He said “Do you want to go to Ma Deeters?”

“Our Graduate Novice B Veteran, obedience class champion is number 306 from Adams County: Samantha and Bandit. Give them a round of applause!” I could not control my excitement. She cultivated an exuberant nod, giving me the confidence I needed to walk to the stage.
I jumped up but still was looking at the tv because my favorite episode of Chicago Fire was on. But at the same time looking at the person that just came out of a bottle at the same time. the man barked. “Let’s go you wretched dog!” The man attached the stinging, metal leash tightly around the dog’s neck and with no problem tossed the dog harshly into the back of the dark van. He got in and made the van halt thrusting the dog against the walls as he accelerated speeding off into the dark.

When I was younger, I would always hear my older brother Jay, ask my grandparents if he could drive the four wheeler, and always hearing him ask finally inspired me to try and ask to see if I could drive it. Believe me when I say I was persistent in asking. My grandparents, they never heard the end of it from me. One day I asked again, with so much hope that I would lose if they said no.
