My dream is to become a firefighter paramedic. Ever since I was child with a remote control fire truck, I have been infatuated with the possibility of becoming a firefighter. Firefighting/ Paramedic would let me express my love for saving lives, while allowing me to apply my training and expertise in the event of an emergency ranging from an elderly person falling to a house fire. While pursuing my dream of being a firefighter I am also preparing myself to attend Rogers State University for their paramedic schooling. Being a firefighter is not all about driving 70 mph on a 35 mph road, or being the rookie that likes to play with the bright lights and sirens. It is definitely nothing like the glorified show called Chicago Fire where the amount of smoke inside is not even enough for a single leaf being on fire. It is about getting woken up at 2 A.M. when the tones sound for a fully involved house fire with possible entrapment and only being able to see a foot in front of them because there is so much smoke. Sometimes it can be the simple things like getting a cat stuck out of a tree because a 90 year old lady accidently let it out and it is the only thing she has left. The easiest times are when you get to go home to your family after a long day and hug them a little bit tighter because that last call was an unresponsive individual who turned out to be signal 30. A firefighter can go through hours of classes to ensure that they can do everything in their power to cut the
I am interested in being a k9 police officer. Ive been in criminal justice this year and the past year. I love knowing the laws and being in command. Dogs are my favorite animal. I love them as much as you could love your mom.
In today’s society, building regulations have made the buildings themselves better equipped for the possibility of a fire. Jonathan Fowler, a level three local firefighter volunteer in Cave City, Arkansas for the past nine years, said the fire of 1911 burned the whole building in a total of eighteen minutes. As a result, each room in a standard government building can help contain a fire for fifteen minutes and keep the flames from spreading further and causing even more destruction. Another example of a positive result from the fire is within two years of the tragedy, more than thirty laws had been passed to help prevent anything tragic that can be averted from happening again (Wignot). Another result of the fire was it made Americans realize that those women who burned were technically citizens of the United States of America, but because they were immigrants, they were discriminated against and not treated fairly (Cornell).
This is because out of all the public services it performs the most functions, saves the most lives and is a living statement to what good people can do. A news article states that “one hundred and five people are rescued everyday as the service deals with blazes, floods, road accidents and chemical spills”. This alone shows that the fire service have a massive positive effect on society as on a daily basis they save hundreds of lives. In twenty fifteen fire crews recused approximately thirty eight thousand people from a number of different situations. However there are some negative effects when it comes to the fire service as on a day to day basis they risk their lives it can sometimes end up in tragedy, a negative effect of this is that fourteen firefighters died during the ten years before 2013 showing more than a one hundred percentage increase than the decade before where only six died.
A police officer will find you and save you from a kidnapper, or any harmful situations. They get taught different ways in the academy to help people in bad situations. Firefighters will come into a house that’s burning down to get you out. The houses are over 1000 degrees and firefighters are in heavy gear so they don’t burn themselves. In the article “ Heroes Versus
A firefighter needs to have a variety of skills such as evacuate fire structures and treat victims, suppress and extinguish fires with hoses pumps and additional apparatus’. Not everything a firefighter accomplishes involves fighting fires, and saving people, they also act as role models for the younger generation, and the community. A firefighter may have to participate and give a lesson in
In the future, I would like to become a medical assistant. This career seems to be a perfect match for me because I have been an EMT for 16 years. I have always had a passion for helping people in their time of need, ever since I was a little kid. I would be the person out on the playground trying to help others, when they got hurt. I would be the kid when the fire department came to the school, for a public relations event, that would be right in the middle of them asking questions.
My career goal is to become a lawyer in the Juvenile Court System, my goal is to be able to help children in anyway I can. Another one of my goals is to take care of foster children, I want to be help take care of them. I have a lot of aspirations, it helps that I have a very big heart and an outgoing spirit. Future Career As A Dental Hygienist For as long as I can remember becoming a dental hygienist has been my dream job. My best friend and I always said we would open our own dental hygienist office together. Although we were so young and most people's interests changed, mine did not. This career would offer me a challenge but also be able to manage the work with places to have personal growth.
The path of my dream occupation has been relatively linear. I’ve known since I could ever remember that I wanted to be in the medical field. My grandmother was a nurse and I think her compassion for helping others rubbed off on me. I always looked up to her, so I consider working in the medical field to be continuing her legacy.
My American Dream consisted of me attending the University of Tennessee,Knoxville with Scholarships a little over 11,000 to pursue to become a pediatrician. Pediatrician deal with children under the age 18; trying to find a cure for their illness. Becoming a pediatrician will be something I will strive to become.
I have always wanted to help people and to help them better their lives, but I never could figure out how I could make that passion a reality, until the day I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety at age eleven. After that rough period in life, I learned how I could help other people. I could listen to them and try to help them better understand themselves. Life is much easier for a person when they have people who believe in them like a psychologist or therapist. My college plan would be to earn a bachelor, and master degree in Psychology to become a Behavior Analyst.
I 'd love to be a counselor for troubled youth, but my #1 is to be a crime scene investigator. I 'm on setting goals trying to achieve it. After I graduate college. I plan on going to graduate school and getting my Masters in Criminal Justice and Early Child Education!
Career Paper I have always loved animals and working with them, but I would like to be able to help them when they are sick or injured. Although I love almost every animal, my goal would be to become an Equine Veterinarian. I have grown up loving horses as my mom would say, "When you were little you always wanted to be around horses, and when you couldn't be you were reading about them" (Rogers,D). My interest in becoming a Veterinarian really came full circle when I was asked to care for and bandage my neighbor's horse who had wounded her leg shortly before they planned to go on vacation in Mexico. It was my first real experience caring for a horse who had a serious injury, and watching her heal and being a part of that was eye opening.
My long term goal would be to assist with the elderly as I’m very drawn to the geriatric community. My faith in Jesus Christ has guided me to fulfill my passion in becoming a nurse. I truly believe that becoming a nurse will help me to completely understand the value of human life. I
My future goal is to be a Diagnostic Sonography Technician. The aspiration I have is to make my parents proud. I will be the first child in my home to graduate from high school and go to college and continue studying. Not only would I be making my parents proud, but going to college always guarantees you have a better job, with a better pay this means I would be able to help my parents out with a lot more than just a bill. When my parents are to be an old age my goal is for them not to have to worry about expenses, because I would be covering it.
