I am Taguhi Sinanyan 19-year-old sophomore in AUA with Business major. I am already familiar with all the introductory courses on tracks offered by my school in the scope of my major and based on what I have learnt I decided to become an accountant. Not the most appealing occupation, huh? Well, not for the most people. What makes accounting the number one choice for me is its incredibly flawless accordance with my self and personal talents. Accounting is a profession that involves the careful recording of transactions and their analysis. In the end, the senior accountant is responsible for preparation of financial statements for external usage and providing careful and thorough analysis to the management for critical decision making. Let me describe my personal strengths and habits which are compatible with this profession provide insights on socio-economic situation I will be in.
When I was in middle schools, I was an excellent student. Most of my peers were wondering why do they need to learn History, Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry and so on. Instead of engaging in the pointless activities of questioning (pointless because students will always be evaluated on their knowledge of these subjects no matter they find it relevant or not) I focused on learning. To be honest, I did not understand the

I do not desire to be in the center of everyone’s attention and be responsible for every single decision. However, I neither abstain from all the responsibilities nor enjoy being managed. To support this point I can say that I am a capable group player with high chances to be the leader. I just try to motivate my group members to do their jobs and accomplish the goals, but I am utterly unable to penalize my groupmates for failures. Also, the chances are high that I will do the job instead of others. I prefer independence with some restrictions, and this is just another factor in choosing
I have found that being a leader means more often being a servant and volunteer. I don’t get much acknowledgment for the extra hours I spend every practice prepping or taking down the equipment. That's not the reason I do what I do. To put it simply, band taught me to care. Band taught me to care about my family at home, my family at school, and the random freshman I see struggling in the hallway.
Every student is unique and learns better from different techniques. Some students are visual learners and others are verbal learners. In most cases students prefer certain subject fields over others. For instance, I love learning about math and science but I don’t really care for social studies.
Usually behind every great team there is a great leader leading the way. Rather it be the president of a country, or the manager of a convenient store, leaders pave the way to make sure everyone is successful. A great example of a leader is Odysseus. Odysseus was faced to save his men from the Lotus Eaters, he had to reap the repercussions of the men opening the air bags, and he was forced to take the fall for his men eating Hilo’s cattle. In my opinion, not only do they pave the way to ensure everyone’s success, but they also take on the responsibility of the actions of the people they supervise, and here’s how.
Growing up in rural Virginia allowed me a unique life experience for many reasons. My environment exposed me to the positive and negative aspects of life. I saw first-hand how drugs destroy a community and create a cycle of poverty. I experienced the struggles of being poor. My family couldn’t afford to focus on traveling and indulging in fun activities; the main priority was making sure there was dinner on the table.
Taking full responsibility for your wrongdoing will prove that you are a leader and will not hold anyone else accountable for your mistakes. Working in a group setting, whether it is in my school/community or in my sports teams,
There is no doubt in my mind that I am not a leader. To help others and to show them right choices is one of my greatest qualities. One of the questions I asked myself when deciding to try out was, ‘Can other students learn and look up to you?’ The answer was yes, other students can look to me for guidance and friendship. Another of my
I would like to start off this essay off by saying I am very honored to be invited to join the National Honor Society. Ever since I was young I loved helping people. I did this through Girl Scouts, which I participated in five years ago. One year my Girl Scout troop went to Kennedy Hospital in December and sang Christmas carols to cheer people up. It was events like this that really shaped who I am as a person.
Being a leader involves many different characteristics. A leader must set the example for all others in the group, because if they are to show up late to practice, there isn’t a reason that any of the other members should not do the same. A leader must take risks for the benefit of the group as well as make sacrifices for it. Becoming the leader of the group requires for them to be the most dedicated. They must work harder and not be afraid to lead the group.
I believe that I am capable of both types of leadership. Most of my experience being a leader comes from sports. I currently play football and basketball. In football, I have always been a quarterback, which means I have always been the vocal leader of my team. As a quarterback, it is my duty to make sure that everyone is in the right place and knows their role in every play.
I believe leadership can be represented by both an individual or a group. This year I was chosen to be captain for both basketball and football cheerleading. Because I was captain, I had to lead the other cheerleaders by teaching underclassmen the cheers, choosing which cheers we did, and arranging practices for the team. I not only find myself as a great leader in cheerleading, I also find myself to be a great leader in track. Because I start so many events, I am always staying after practice to practice starting blocks.
1. Describe an example of your leadership experience in which you have positively influenced others, helped resolve disputes, or contributed to group efforts over time. I consider myself a leader, i believe this because i am the type of person that feels like if i am not the one to do it then it will not be done the right way. Whenever i would work in groups i would designate myself to be the one to do the harder assignment, because i only trusted that would take it serious, not anyone else. Also, whenever i do anything that involves a team, i like to take control, because i feel like i am the best one to work under pressure or i can choose the best solution for any situation.
Introduction During the four-year study in the program of Accounting and Finance, I have gained the professional knowledge, and also obtained the precious experiences in life. This year, I have learned a lot during the process of the working on the capstone project. In order to have a deep understanding of myself, the essay will make a summary of the capstone project and myself.
According to Averkamp (2016), “accounting is the recording of financial transactions plus storing, sorting, retrieving, summarizing, and presenting information in various reports and analyses”. Therefore knowing how to carry out these tasks
My interest in Accounting stemmed from my optimistic expectation about career development in this field. Accounting is so important in the business world that only on the basis of accounting information, management is able to make investment decisions, and optimize internal operation. Thus, it is widely applied to every business sector. However, due to a strange combination of circumstances, I was matriculated by Biology and Medical Engineering College, instead of the Economic and Management College, in which I could accumulate the knowledge that would allow me to realize my career ambition. Changing major was not easy to operate in our university.
Some of these concerns have been explored and articulated by such as Shirley Grundy, who sees it as overly dependent on “cultivation of wisdom and meaning-making in the classroom” and as a result the actual capability of students to “make sense” of subject matter and the world around them, can be
