Some people may think that Disney is only for young children and their parents. Although, in my experience, this is far from the truth. For me, a day in Disneyland is filled with excitement, wonder, and joy. My dad and I often go to Disneyland, to this day. But, when I was younger my family and I would frequently visit the happiest place on Earth. I will never be able to forget my very first visit to the parks. It was a chilly autumn day and my brother and sister had just gotten out of school, but I was only in kindergarten so I got out early. I remember waiting anxiously for them in the pick-up line. My brother and sister had gone plenty of times, but my parents wanted to wait until I was a bit older to take me. So, I didn’t know exactly what lied ahead for our day. All I knew is that my family loved Disneyland, and I hoped I would too. In the past week, I had watched all the Disney princess movies in preparation for our visit to the park, and the anticipation was sky high. I remember being in a huge warm jacket and looking out the window as it began to rain. Everywhere I looked there were characters that I had been watching on TV for as long as I could remember. One ride caught my eye, Peter Pan’s Flight. I was so excited to be going on this ride and I felt like I was flying. It was a completely magical, breathtaking experience. It was like we were part of the story. The ride completely immersed me into the tale of Peter Pan. After getting off the ride, I saw Peter Pan and Captain Hook play fighting right at the exit of the ride. It felt surreal. I got to meet both of them. Peter Pan and I even had time to play hide and seek in a small area for a short while. I never wanted this day to end.
