I was sitting on my chair, but not the one that I preferred, it was a horrible chair, it was full of chewing gums, but the teacher assigned us new seating plans for the rest of the year, is he insane!? That meant that I couldn 't be sitted with Rodrigo and Jahir(my best friends since grade 1) they were sitting on the far corner of the class, which is the place that I preferred, because I didn 't like to be sited next to the teacher(Mr.Wang) it made me feel nervous, and everyone in the class could see me, I felt like a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
Mr.Wang teached us a lesson of English, I didn 't pay attention to it, because, what 's the point? English it’s just writing a few words and understanding some basic concepts

We all went home with our bikes, Rodrigo had a bike full of flames that he painted himself, whole Jahir had a bike full of scratches that happened when he fell from the bike, he ended up bleeding and was at the hospital for one night for inspections, you could see the anger in his face when that happened, the redness on his face was like a tomato in fall, but nothing bad happened , everything came back to normal. When we arrived to my house, my mom asked us about our day and what happened in school, we didn 't tell her about the test because if we told her then she would make us study all day long and she wouldn 't allow us to play videogames, because she really wants us to do good on school, but it 's also kind of annoying, so we went upstairs and talked about what were we going to do in summer, because there was only 8 days left of school, that was the only thing that I was thinking about, I was going to Colombia, the happiness of my face was the like happiness of a child when they buy him his favourite candy, but my mom told me that ifv I wanted to go I had pass my humanities test, that wasn 't a problem at all, I knew some of the terms and I had my friends to study with, so there wasn 't any …show more content…
I asked Rodrigo and Jahir if the knew how to do a poem, and neither of them knew how, they said that we could look mit up on the internet , I don 't like to search up things on the internet, especially school related things, it always says words that I don 't understand, so that wasn 't a good option, I was as scared as a cat when it touches water, I didn 't know what to do, and I couldn 't ask my mom because he was busy checking the price of a flight to Colombia, I hoped she didn 't buy them because I was having some very big trouble with school, that day Rodrigo Jahir and me didn 't do anything about
Thoughts of fear and excitement paraded through my body as I sat Twitching to tell somebody about what I had just experienced but then I remembered that the only friend I really have at school is a boy named Joe and our friendship doesn 't seem to extend outside of lunch boundaries but I could wait a few more hours to tell him about this unbelievable news. Three hours go by and it 's time for lunch, as I 'm as I 'm walking out of my English 11 language arts class to lunch I noticed that everyone was looking my way in didn 't break EYE contact til they were behind me, soon I reached lunch and I sat to my regular lunch table and waited for Joe to come but he never came, soon soon as I figured he was not going to come I began to dig into my lunchbox picking at my
Once we all had our food and we were all at the table we all agreed that the tacos they made that day were really nasty which kind of made some of us upset because we were actually hungry. After lunch, we all went and sat back in the classroom for the rest of the school day. Towards the end of the school day we all went to grab our luggage from the security room which had been checked by now and security took what we couldn’t have because it wasn’t safe. We then all took our luggage to this white van which was going to bring our stuff towards the dorm so we wouldn’t have to walk our entire stuff across the campus. Once we made it to the front we grabbed our things and they showed us to our rooms, after getting settled the rest of the day was nice we all met new faces and just had

RATIONALE Option to which the task is linked to: “A Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley Title: John’s Farewell letter: “my deepest thoughts”. Text type: Personal letter In order to show John’s perspective in the development of “A Brave New World”, the text type chosen is a letter about the story John lived since he got to The New Word, until his end. The tone used was a pessimistic sad tone due to the circumstances that John was living when the people that received him in the new world were trying to turn him into something he never learned to be.
Years after this mentality is taught, it will stick with the students and improve their outlook on the world. In Mrs. Hamma’s class, teaching basic English to immigrants will help improve their speaking abilities as well as improve their social standing. Joseph Fong, a Chinese immigrant taking the course, presented to the class his reason for taking the class. He says “I taking the course in Basic English to speak good and improve my position better in this country” (Mohr 197). At this moment in time, clearly, he is not proficient in speaking English.
All of the other kids became silent and scared of Miss Fisher. On my way home I began thinking about how much I wanted to go to school earlier this morning. Now, I never want to go back. School is worse than I thought it would be. I thought of it as this fun place of learning and meeting new friends.
Today was going to be my first day of school and I was quite nervous. I knew I wasn’t going to meet any of my friends in Vietnam wasn’t going to be in my school but I hoped for the best. I then walked in class and my teacher introduced me to the whole class.like I just moved from state to a state even though I literally just moved countries. She placed me in seat with a person name “Jake”.
It was 7:05am on a Thursday morning, when I had woken. I lied down in my bed gazing at the ceiling as my obnoxious alarmed screamed at me to get up and prepare for another day of school. I was beyond exhausted. It was November 17th. Thanksgiving break was just around the corner waiting for me to relax and get my mind off the prison we call school.
Well...I was 6 when Child Protective Services came to get us. I lived with my mom and my three sisters, the youngest was Donna she was 5 & Lizzy was 7 and Mary was 10. I remember most of my family lived in the same neighborhood like my two Aunts and my uncle and grandpa and grandma. There was an occasional gunshot, sometimes there was a fire truck rushing down our street . We lived on top of a hill at 1015 Norwich in Grand Rapids.
At the airport my friend Eduardo, since elementary school, and the coach from my college, picked me up at the airport. On the way to the college I was asking questions about the college to my friend because he knew better than I the college and the baseball team. I remember my first question that I ask Eduardo was that if the temperature became more heated because by that time the temperature was cold, and he said “Yeah, the temperature is going to get heated in a couple of weeks”, and I said “I hope so because I don’t like cold temperature”. We spend an hour to get to Clarendon College, finally I arrived and unpack my clothes and get everything really for my first day at College.
Coming to Miami I can still remember that gloomy sky on October 21st 2001. It seemed like a normal day to me, yet that day would change my life forever. I remember my mother rushing around the house trying to gather my brother’s clothes while I just sat on the floor observing so much commotion around me. For an 8 year old, I was a very hipper child. I ran around the house, climbed trees, sat on the roof top which was 3 floors high.
My Trip to Florida It was a cold winter night in Upstate New York. My mom and dad were enjoying a cup of coffee, my sisters were playing video games, and I was editing a few pictures on my computer. My mom brought up the idea of a vacation. She said” We haven’t been on a vacation for a long time”.
Thank you for giving me this chance to talk about my English class, it was very excited to be a part of English 101 this quarter. We act as a family in this class by helping each other in writing, discussions stories and responding to each other. To be honest, I worked very hard this quarter and I focused more on my English class rather than other classes I had taken in SFCC. Writing is something not easy when it comes to my mind, because I am an international student and it is a differencet from my writing style and English writing style, so I should separate between them. I would not say writing English assignment is very hard for me, but I mean I make some mistakes.
Shortly after my sixteenth birthday, something terrible happened to me. But, first let's start at the beginning. When I was five years old my parents got me the best gift a little girl could ever ask for, a puppy. My dad came into the house with what I thought was a black jacket in his arms. I was wrong, after he came into the kitchen the “jacket” popped it’s little head up, it wasn’t a jacket, it was a puppy.
Grammar is a system and structure of language. To me grammar is more than just knowing the rules and standards; it is being able to apply them in writing. Growing up I was taught all of the grammar rules through many grammar worksheets. However, my Pedagogical Grammar class gave me a new outlook on how to teach grammar. I will use strategies learned from my peers, research, experience, and my grammar class to explain how I will teach my students grammar.
