Filipinos are fanatic when it comes to basketball, for most Filipino basketball would probably be their favorite sport the evidence in my statement could be found in every street, alley whenever in the urban/suburban areas there's a basketball game played by the locals. “Why can’t we get into our freaking offense!?” This is all I really remember from Coach McKendrick at halftime last year against Niles North in what was a tough night for our basketball team. Prior to this, we beat New Trier at home and then went on the road and beat the pre-season unanimous vote to win conference, Highland Park, in our first conference game. Before the New Trier game, our game plan was simple: we were smaller, but faster, so we were going to run the court and make this is a fast pace game. We executed our gameplan, and we won.
I chose to analyze one of my favorite movies, The Basketball Diaries. In this paper, I will be explaining the crime and deviance in the film, the social disorganization theory, and Gottfredson and Hirschi’s self-control theory. There is plenty of crime and deviance in this film including prostitution, underage drinking, drug use, robbery, and murder. The basketball diaries is about a 13 year-old basketball star, Jim Carroll, who is raised in New York by a single-mother. Jim is raised in a neighborhood where crime and deviance is very active and lives in a lower-class home.
I cannot recall a day in my life when I have not heard the sound of a bouncing ball; I grew up eating and breathing basketball. My heart fell in love with the winning, the competition, the adrenaline ever since I started rolling my dad’s tube sock and shooting an imaginary shot against the wall. “It was reminiscing when I was a fresh young boy; I was strolling around the Smith Park with a basketball in my hand and wearing a gold/purple Kobe Bryant’s jersey until I espied a compelling teenager playing basketball with tight handles, and great athleticism on the opposite side of the court. Whereupon, I pondered about my future and his inspiration for me that I will be a professional basketball player in the NBA and be like him.
Running down the court, people cheering your name, that's basketball. In this essay I will be discussing how I started as a dancer, and then suddenly found a new love for basketball. The first paragraph will begin to talk about how I began to talk about how I started to doubt myself when I first started playing. In the second and third paragraphs I will speak about my evolution as a basketball player. I was first dancing at the Pella Dance Studio, I was three.

I was determined to get my skills back no matter how long it’ll take. I started a game of basketball with other people inside the gyms court.
Volleyball I am not going to argue that this is the best sport because this is supposed to be informative essay not argumentative essay, but I will say it is a much better sport than most. Volleyball is a great sport and is very fun, it teaches the importance of teamwork and getting along with others to create chemistry. I will be explaining the sport because often times it is perceived at just whacking a ball across a net and that is not quite right. It is actually a lot more complicated as you get to a higher level. I am not any sort of expert
How In the 7th grade our basketball team was good, we had never played together and our chemistry came out pretty well. The first team we played was Derby, they’ve always been good in about every sport. We worked hard at practice every day leading up to Gameday. We won that game, in fact we won every game except for two in the regular season, we lost to Andover Central and Augusta. Then we had to play Derby in the championship, it was a hard fought game, but in the end, we lost by 3.
When I was a child, I did not necessarily have a favorite toy as if to say, but there one thing in particular that I always used to liked playing with. That one thing was Basketball, A child’s favorite toy is usually something a child would bring around with them all the time and would cherish. That's exactly what I would do with my basketball. That leathery-bumpy skin of the ball in hands while I would dribble diligently down the street, was one of the greatest feelings I had as a child. The squeaking of shoes on the court and the swish of the ball in the hoop was probably the second best thing about basketball.

Sports Fund Philippine Olympic Committee President Cojuangco affirmed that sports does not only concern in bearing medals for the nation, but it is also imperative for the growth of Filipino citizens conventionally that is why the value coming from the government must be revised (Gutierrez, 2012). Through the years, insufficient funding has been one of the concerns of athletes and sports officials that many experts believed caused the poor performance of Filipino athletes at international competitions and also hinder the development of sports in the country. Besides, the gradual improvement of Philippines` sportsmen was due to the lack of sports equipment and infrastructure (Cruz, Mendoza, & De Lima, 2011). Similarly, Filipino Olympic swimmers Jessie Lacuña and Jasmine Alkhadi expressed their frustrations were the former yearns for training centers like the ones in Singapore where swimmers can relish solid support from the government while the latter admitted that the journey before heading to the London Olympics was challenging due to the country`s limited resources (Gutierrez, 2012). Dispirited as the athletes are, the efforts made by the government to stabilize a stronger sports foundation were not totally sensed.
