The Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree is the first step towards establishing career in nursing. Finishing of my nursing degree is an indication of moving to a different professional level in life, and more so, it means that I will acquire my dream job. With my degree in nursing, I will try to accomplish all the dreams that I ever had when I volunteered
The reasons for joining nursing were; it was my dream to become a nurse because I want to make a difference in people’s lives and bringing happiness in their lives because making people happy is one of my hobbies. Secondly, there is a great demand of nursing so I will not be unemployed after getting a degree in my hands. Thirdly, we can get chances to interact with new people and many other staff that are available in hospital. In addition our nursing skills are universal meaning we will get all the skills from other profession which has only one or two skills; example a nurse can be teacher but a teacher cannot be a nurse, a nurse can be a model but a model cannot be a nurse. Since it my third week in nursing I have learnt about many different things such as some body parts which we had it but we didn’t know , and some of nursing skills which I am learning once which made me realize that I’m in a right
Joining a professional association for nurses is one of my short-term goals. In this association, I aim to identify mentors to spearhead my learning patterns. Similarly, I frequently attend specialty conferences besides getting involved in different exchange programs that improve my communication skills. On the other hand, one of my priorities in forming my long-term goal is to advance in educational career. Climbing up the ladder to achieve a master degree in nursing will be the first commendable achievement.
When my mom had surgery I would change the gauze pads and just be so interested in everything that had to do with medicine. I 've always had a passion in helping people, being challenged, and making a difference in people 's lives which I intend to do forever. The next step was figuring out where I wanted to go and if I was 100% sure this was for me. So I went and toured hospitals with my health class and shadowed different professions to see which one was the best fit and rule others out. I was really intrigued by the nurses.
After gaining experience as a registered nurse, I will pursue a master of science in nursing to become a nurse practitioner. A job as a nurse practitioner will allow me to look forward to going to work every day because I know it is something I will love to do. Once I have gained experience as a nurse practitioner and have a stable job as one, I will pursue a doctorate of science in nursing. Being able to treat and help patients fascinates me, therefore every step I take will be worth it. Growing up in a Spanish-speaking home made it hard to have guidance on school assignments.
It is very difficult and requires a tremendous amount of patience and hard work. I hope that I will be able to meet these challenges, and that my dream will come true. Later, I would like to work in a hospital or in private practice. During my secondary studies, I worked on biology and chemistry projects. The experience from working on these projects has given me insight into science that far exceeds what I could have learned at school.
I have different options that are available, including these nursing diplomas, associate degrees or bachelor’s degrees. As an aspiring and future licensed Registered Nurse dedicated to the mission of compassionate patient care, I feel that I am excellent and I can become an RN. Beyond my skill in safely administering medications, monitoring vital signs, bedside care, and pain management expert , I am a passionate advocate for my patients. This will ensure that the nursing students in the university will gain the necessary exposure to ensure that they will qualify once they complete their training. This is because private hospitals are more specialized compared to government hospitals.
