I am a business student whose concentration in marketing. During my undergraduate study, I found that what I had learned about marketing was just essential and general knowledge. Therefore, I decided to continue with the master degree to deep dive into this field. It is great that I am now in Dr. Jae Min Jung’s International Marketing Management class, from which I wished to expand my knowledge.
As a former product management executive and co-founder of a startup, I persist in my long-term career goal to establish a high-tech company that provides innovative solutions to people’s problems. After earning my MBA, I plan to work as product manager for eminent high-tech firms such as Cisco for three to five years to gain practical experience and to make my long-term dream more realistic. When I was an undergraduate student in 2001, I introduced an O2O platform that successfully connected tutors with students looking to hire them. I am proud of this experience, not only because it was commercially successful, but also because it represented the use of technology to solve problems. After graduation, I donated this system to the university.

I chose to do that at Human Intelligence Technology located in Jdeideh, Lebanon (currently relocated to Rabweh, Lebanon). Being visible on the internet increase the probability of gaining market share, therefore it should be a major challenge for companies. For example, by buying keywords on Google, the company can appear in the first search results and position itself as a leader. The use of social networks helps to show the areas of expertise of the company, to create and retain a community as well as to communicate on the new products and services.

Throughout the first semester at school, I enjoyed learning in the Scottish atmosphere that encouraged academic interactions.
