I gently closed my door while saying goodnight to my parents and sister. As exhausted as I was after a gruesome time at practice it was time for me to go to bed. Within three minutes I had my pajamas on and was tucked in bed. After what seemed like 15 minutes, I finally dozed off into a deep sleep. About every two week we traveled from North Carolina to South Carolina to visit and take care of my grandmother. My grandma is about 70 years old now and is practically unable to care for herself like she used to, so all six of her children took turns to help take care of her. At this point of time my sister and I were not in school so it was very convenient when it was my mom’s turn to take care of her mom. Finally, after a long three hour drive in a car we arrived at my grandma’s house. My mom, sister, and I hopped out of the car, grabbed our suitcases, and walked inside to see my grandmother on her recliner watching our favorite show, WWE. This was something my grandma and I had always bonded over. So after I sat my suitcase in the room, I went to the living room where she was sitting to watch television with her. Eventually, day started to turn into night so my sister and I helped my grandmother to bed because she was heavyset and sometimes refused to walk. My mom keeps telling her to walk because if she did not it was …show more content…
We begrudgingly get out of bed because my sister and I are not morning people at all. Once we got the strength to get up we went over to our grandmother’s room where she was lying peacefully in bed. Yet again it was difficult to get her out of bed because she was on the heavier side which can be difficult to manage. Once we washed her up and got her dressed we grabbed her walker so that she can walk to her recliner. By that time my mom was calling us for breakfast, so I grabbed my grandma’s plate and took it to her, then I sat down at the table to

Who Am I? Interview with Grandpa Tim: Your Great Great Grandma Madge Moore was a full blood Cherokee. When I was eight, my family could not believe what I was doing to my nanny on the way to Gatlinburg. My family and I begin to scavenge our belongings to place in my mother 's car, my anxiety and excitement begins to rise. We all start to swarm in the vehicle and to my recollection, I notice the sun beginning to ascend over the horizon. My mother stomped on the gas pedal to accelerate the car forward out of our driveway onto the road. In the car, my parents occupy the front driver and passenger seats, my brother sits next to the window behind my mother and I sit behind my father, which leaves the middle seat for my nanny to take up.

I woke up at six o’clock in the morning and was too excited to go back to sleep. I really tried to go back to sleep, but my heart rate was too high. I got really bored just lying in my bed, so I decided to go wake up my dad. I walked to my mom and dad’s room and gave my dad a light touch on the back. His response was,” Go Back to bed
The Hunt My dad just woke me up for our big elk hunt that we were going on. He told me to get ready and we would be leaving in a few minutes. Once I got dressed we went to my grandpas and picked him up. We (me my dad and my grandpa) drove in my grandpa's truck, when we got to the airport, we packed our luggage and got on the plane. When we got on the plane, I noticed we were going to Salt Lake City, I asked my dad why, and he said we were going to have to stop their first.
It was a hectic day. My friend had to call and have his grandparents pick him up which took about 45 minutes because they lived kind of far away. During that time, my dad told me “pack your bags, we need to go visit your grandmother” I remember that I didn’t pack much because I couldn’t think. My mom immediately booked us plane tickets to Portland. It was super close but we made the flight.
I got eggs, bread, cereal, apple juice. Then we got in our car and went back to driving. Soon we will get their I said to my brother. So we waited it out… I fell asleep somehow.
Three long years ago without a doubt was the worst and I mean worst Thanksgiving ever. The day started off good by going to the store to get decorations. Then things quickly started going downhill. By the end of the day my day had gotten better but the worst was when we got back home for decorating the house. Buying decorations was always fun picking out the most colorful streamers and the most bizarre Thanksgiving stuff ever.
Rosa Parks Day? Rosa Parks was known for many things, but the one thing mostly everyone knew was her help in the Civil Rights Movement. However, Parks refusal to give up her seat to a white male on her way home from work is one of the most iconic moments in history. This action had encouraged and inspired many others, in specific African Americans to take action on the big situation in that time period. Once the world heard about Parks bravery she became a legend, icon and most importantly a symbol to many others around.
My grandmother home was more than just a place to visit on Sundays it was my sanctuary. Her home was a place where I could unwind and feel free when my home became hard to handle. She would treat me like I was the only child and spoiled me. I didn’t realize how much my grandma
My Trip to Florida It was a cold winter night in Upstate New York. My mom and dad were enjoying a cup of coffee, my sisters were playing video games, and I was editing a few pictures on my computer. My mom brought up the idea of a vacation. She said” We haven’t been on a vacation for a long time”.
My mom, my sweet, gentle mom. My mom is like my sister, we love to talk about juicy stuff and love to share with each other what we did during the day. I don 't like to imagine myself without her because she is basically my life. She is caring and kind and always have a smile on her face when she sees me. When I say her name I get a picture of her in my mind.
