Gaining admittance into the University of Florida would be one of the greatest accomplishments that I could have ever worked for. Ever since I was younger all that I have ever thought about was going to UF and being a Gator. There are many activities that I would love to do but the main ones are the most important to me. The way that I was raised has shaped the way that my mentality works and has lead me to my top priorities.
Ensuring that my grades are kept up are the first and foremost important things for me to keep. I will ascertain that goal by making friends with my classmates and be a bellwether that puts together a study group. The leadership role will entice me to ken the material, in order to be able to teach others. In my high school there are four levels of understanding; Level 1: I do not understand the material at all, Level 2: I kind of understand the material, Level 3: I understand the material well, Level 4: I understand the content well enough to convey it to others. By having a grasp on the different calibers, I would be able to avail other students in their understanding curriculum that we are learning. This will benefit me in my endeavors to immerse myself into the school.

For instance, attending home and away games to fortify my team, and give me a sense of school spirit. By immersing myself in school activities, I would assimilate and have the initiative to stay. Something that I would relish doing is unearthing a little more about the History of the school. Albeit looking online, for information on the school, I would much rather circumnavigate the school and discover what the school has to offer. I dote to discover incipient things that no one else has awareness about the
I also want to learn more about Social Studies, Math, Science, and ELA. My third and most important goal is to just have fun. I want to enjoy every minute of high school. My last goal can not be completed without doing my first two goals. Hopefully I will be able to achieve all three of my goals while in high school.
Before I even stepped into my high school as an official freshman I knew I was going to be a part of my school one way or the other. I made it a goal to be a part of some type of extra-curricular project all four years. This goal I know I have succeeded in because I have been a part of the following extra- curricular projects: three years of SWAT club, four years of Raider Riot, and three varsity sports. All of these extra- curricular projects have made my high school career not only interesting but also made me a better person in the long run. One of the only clubs I was able to be a part of in high school was the SWAT club.
James has some major accomplishments in his life so far. One of them is he played football for three years. Second James always try to have the best grades that he can work up to. Last major accomplishment is getting into Pre-Tec. One minor accomplishment is working hard in school and outside of school.
Because I would still be a part of Enka there would be no band and It would be difficult to be in a sport. I want to be in a band and in sports which makes the school a little lower on the list. Similarly, there are shorter school days which would normally excite kids, but I love school. I would want to have a longer day if I could because that would mean that we would have more time for extracurriculars. Stem is also a lottery
I plan to make new and develop long lasting relationships with my teammates and other students on campus. As a Spartan Dawg, I want to have a chance win a Heisman trophy and be able to help my team win a CFP National Championship game. Lastly, I would like to graduate with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Business. I know that a degree will give me the confidence and the edge to have the flexibility I need to make my own decisions.
One being, learning how to manage my time. There were weeks where we would have school all day, then practice till five, then a basketball game at six. It was extremely hard to study, cheer, work, and somehow have a social life. These situations helped me plan ahead to when I was going to finish homework or study for my upcoming tests. I will use this useful skill in college next year where i'll find myself always looking for time that I don't have.
The focus of college or any education is about the experiences acquired through the process of learning. However, for the majority of society the new focus is now on the degree, which to many, represent the key to success. Hence, students now equate knowledge and intellect as something that can be readily purchased. Yet, the key to success lies within our actions. This very concept is derived from the Hsun Tzu’s short reading titled “Encouraging Learning”.
Of course, I was a student that hoped to attend an accredited university, but in order to, I knew I had to get outstanding grades. I was a hard worker throughout high school, and tried my best every year. I was really motivated to take AP courses as a freshman, unfortunately my school only provided honors, but I found out later that it acted as a substitute, and was accepted just the same. I took advantage of anything they had handed to me. My priorities at this moment are maintaining an outstanding GPA all through high school, and promoting quality leadership in everything I do.
School has always been my number one priority. I focus hard to achieve the grades I want by making sure I turn all my homework in on time and studying for tests. Sometimes school can be very stressful but I have to push myself to strive for the grades I want. I have learned that before taking a test you need to make sure you study in as many ways possible so when the test day comes you will not have any issues. Another thing that is difficult and for me gets in the way of school is having a job.
Students not only need to gain the knowledge for the field that they will be working in, but more importantly they need the knowledge of basic life skills on how to think and react to life experiences. It is important for people to understand that knowledge is power, and knowing that it’s not all about you is one of the best realizations one can have. We are all here to collectively work together for some type of common goal. No one person is more valuable than the other. So the next time we are waiting in line in Walmart, we shouldn’t be cursing about how the cashier is too slow, or that they need to open more lines because we are in a hurry.
Firstly, I would like to say that I have had an amazing semester learning from you and my other professors as well. The Fall 2016 semester was awesome and knowledge filled. However, when I enrolled in this course I knew that my writing and punctuation skills would be challenged. I love English, but this is an area that I need to work on improving. I have many academic achievements that I am proud of: I have received an honorable mention and good standing each semester, I have a 3.61 GPA, I made the Deans' list, and I completed this semester with all A’s and B’s.
With my full attention to their education and my time it will be my responsibility for all my students to be motivated. My goal as an educator is to make sure that my students are at the grade level they need to be. I as a teacher must be able to teach them in the appropriate grade level they need. My teaching must be developmentally appropriate for the needs of my students.
Also, my school has an alternate program which is a place for a smaller classroom environment. As well as, close supervision and individualized attention to improve grades, and assistance in curbing excessive absences. Which lowers the dropout rate compared to other school. As well as a clubs, sports, and other activities are funded. All these components are key factors to why the majority of the population attend college and have the opportunity to be an NCAA athlete including myself.
To improve learning in higher education, the primary focus should be on engaging students in a process that best enhances their learning – a process that contains feedback on the effectiveness of their learning efforts. Education must be conceived as a continuing reconstruction of experience, the process and goal of education are one and the same thing. Dewey (1897) all learning is re-learning. Learning is best facilitated by a process that draws out the students’ beliefs and ideas about a topic so that they can be examined, tested and integrated with new, more refined ideas. Learning needs the resolution of conflicts between dialectically opposed modes of adaptation to the world.
Through the years I was able to develop into a motivated individual. As I found myself feeling more compassionate towards other people, the less I cared how they viewed me. I learned to love school. I started to make friends became an active student in the school community. Confidence is the key to academic success.
