I have always strived to set a good example for my peers. I was raised to be a leader, not a follower. I knew if I was going to be a model for others, I was going to be the best one possible. I have a little brother at home who I need to teach morality and stress the importance of treating others well. Knowing that my actions would influence my family, I’ve always made it a priority to be ethical. That characteristic has led my coaches and teammates to elect me as team captain on my high school soccer team. They trust me to lead the team not only to victory, but also to be a family.
