My Memoir
I'm on a cruise with my family. This cruise goes around the Far East. It's really nice unlike the other cruises I've been on. There are many fun activities on the cruise, like shows and plays. The food is very tasty and delicious. The best thing about the food is that it is free. I've actually gained a few pounds since I came to the cruise. I've never been so happy in my life. I really hope that this vacation never ends.
It's evening and the sun is setting. I grabbed an ice tea from the bar on the deck and sat on a sofa. This sofa is on the side of the deck. Therefore, I can see the sun set clearly. I've never seen a sun set this beautiful. The sun is reflecting on the water, which made the view astonishing. A person sat next to me. …show more content…

Everyone was shocked and scared. We were also curios about what happened. Was it an earthquake? Was it a malfunction in the ship engine? Then the captain spoke on the microphone and said that we just experienced an earthquake. The people on the cruise got frightened. While the world was going to hell to the passengers on deck, I bought myself an ice cold Pepsi. I was sipping my Pepsi while people were going mad. It was very amusing to me because they were overreacting. An earthquake happened, so what? School will begin in a month and that's much …show more content…

An elder woman was screaming, “The end is nigh! The end is nigh! Run away! The end is nigh!”. That did not calm me at all. People were running way. I did not run, I did not see a reason why. No matter where we go, we were still in the ship. I've never been so frightened in my life. As the wave comes closer, the faster my heart beats. I can see death approaching me and all I could do is stand and smile. Maybe smiling might make the tsunami merciful to me.
The wave hit us. The wave was so strong, it tilted the ship. The ship almost flipped. I fell and hit the railings on the side of the deck. I saw chairs and tables fall off the deck. For a moment, I thought I fell off too. I later stood up. My back was killing me from the fall. I glanced down to see if any passengers fell off, I only saw furniture and utilities. However, I did hear screams of the weak and their call for a savior to help them at this
