New Year’s Resolutions

(SA) The tradition of New Year’s Resolutions, something millions of people do each year, in my family is hardly a tradition at all. We don’t have any family activities for planning resolutions to share what we want to accomplish in the future. My parents, whom are supportive either way, have goals of their own. We’ve never tried to make a resolution as a whole, but my mother has attempted to urge the idea. In my opinion, resolutions are hard. Whether you’re going to get a gym membership or be nice everyday, change is change. (SI) To rearrange our natural or already established habits is quite the challenge for anyone. (CXSC) Nevertheless, we still try to succeed every year, because of our hope to become better people. My resolutions include eating & leading a healthful life, performing musically whenever I earn the chance, and making a plan for my upcoming future.

That of which has been changing from year to year. Everyone around me seems to know who they are or who they’re becoming. I don’t want to fall behind. My first step will be deciding what to do. (CDCC) I’m juggling the choices of photography, music, and nursing, yet each one would lead a different number of schooling, experience, or traveling. If one does not work out, I can bounce back on another. (CDCX) My career choice needs to be chosen, so I can create a plan for high school which will go by much more quickly than expected.

(CXSC) Statistics say about 45% of Americans create resolutions, although only about 8% are the ones who keep them. I am working on being part of that 8%. All in all, I have done well on keeping these goals so far but have yet to come to a final choice.
