Investigating From my childhood, mechanical and technical innovations and issues always interested me. If I was not in my regular place watching T.V., I was opening some remote-controlled cars. Looking at the way the phone was charged and the T.V. needed electricity to work, I also took a great interest in electrical engineering. I was close to opening my own T.V. set once. I was born in India and lived there for 12 years. India is a country where engineering is the most chosen subject, but few inventions are made that are eco-friendly and easy to make. Also, there is a major electricity problem, not only in India, but also in Africa, Asia and few parts of Europe. A lot of environmental changes have occurred in Asia over the last decade. These changes have occurred to a lot of pollution and increase in carbon-dioxide emitted by cars. As a result, a lot of people started falling sick. In 2008-2009, a survey stated that taking a breath in Delhi (Capital of India), was equal to smoking 40 cigars. Problems of Asthma, Lung Cancer and breathing problems were very common. As people became aware of these problems and its causes, they realized that biking is an easy and a cheap method of transport. So, there was a very vast change seen in the environment over the years. Also, an …show more content…
But, I did not how to make it. I knew how to open remote controlled cars, I also knew about almost all the components of that car and their uses, but I did not how to put it back. So making the model was the tough part. I knew about the products needed to make this project. I needed to research and understand how to connect all the tools together (like when to connect positive point with a positive point and a negative point with a positive one). I also needed to gather some information about the tools itself. I had a gist of the items of that were going to be needed. But I did not know the
DeekshithKumar Thadishetti Professor mankerian LS 690 July 31 2015 Climate change is one of the global issue that requires multiperspective approach. One of the key cause of climate change is air pollution. Air pollution occurs as a result of release of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. There are two key sources of air pollution that should be targeted if the air pollution is to be reduced. The first source is the industrial stationay sources, which include electric power facilities.
Have you ever been so close to a goal but you lack of confidence wouldn’t let you fly? Growing up, I have never been the most confident person, which has caused me to fail certain things. The time when I experienced a failure was when I didn’t get accepted into Newark Tech Vocational School. My family moved to from Miami, Florida to Irvington, New Jersey during the summer of 2012 due to financial issues. The move was like a fresh start, which I certainly wasn’t elated about.
For my week 2 24-hour recall I interviewed my husband E.S. During a conversation held with E. Salcedo (E. Salcedo, oral communication, September 2015) I was able to gather that he is a 42-year-old male Mexican American. He currently is working with machinery and doing maintenance work at different power plants. Furthermore, E.S. job requires heavy lifting and going up and down stairs. He recently started running and exercising three times a week.
When I started high school, the club that excited me the most, was National Honors Society. So, at the first chance I got, in my sophomore year. After being a member for a year, I quickly realized that I wanted to take on a leadership opportunity in the club. So, I took a shot for the stars, and campaigned for being president of Honors Society. Though I had some competition, I put my all into composing a speech, and I won the presidency, and I have been president since.
For my Diverse Field Experience this semester, I spent fifteen hours at the Mclean County Juvenile Detention Center. This particular center was occupied by about 8-14 juveniles at a time, all depending on court dates and occupancy of other nearby detention centers. This center usually had 3 staff members working the shift every time I went, which was seven to nine on weekday afternoons. I was intrigued to go to at this time because I thought it would be the time of the day were the juveniles had no school work or other obligations to do while I was there. I wanted to see what they liked to do in the free time before bed, the only stipulation being mandatory snack time at eight pm.
One of the classes I was most excited for this school year was AP Physics. I had not taken a physics class since my freshman year, and I was extremely excited to begin doing physics at a higher level knowing that I had completed calculus. On the first day of class my excitement was proven warranted. Started the class, with an exciting competition to see what we had retained from our previous physics classes. The challenge was to roll a small metal ball off of a table and through a hole that is exactly the same size as the ball, but you only had one try.
My whole life long, I have been trying to find a place where I can truly fit in. I have also been worried about what I would do when I grew up. I was torn between my passion for horses and my passion for performing. There was no way I could give up one for the other, so I searched the net for Christian colleges that had majors in both equine studies and vocal performance and there it appeared: Asbury University. It was manna from Heaven.
This is a fun, exciting, and cheerful game. It has bunches of people watching others. It makes me feel good when I walk up to the plate. I always feel like I’m at home when I step onto the field. I play my position and have fun doing it.

Along with food, water, and shelter, the air we breathe is essential to life. If we do not have clean air to breathe, we will become ill and even die. If we do not prioritize the air we breathe, the pollution tragedies such as what happened in Delhi last November 2016 and the Southern Plains during the Dust Bowl of the 1930s will strike again. Humans’ indifference, attempts to improve their life, or both. Sometimes when people try to improve human life, they end up harming it; in finding solutions to these man-made problems, we must consider short and long term solutions.
Coming to Indiana Tech wasn’t my first choice till I came to visit for track. The law building really changed my decision because I really want to become a defense attorney. Also Indiana Tech class size is small so it made me want to come more. I like when my professors can communicate with me and know who I am in class. My decision was final.
My capstone activities will primarily focus on learning how to properly read, write, and speak Hmong. I will also be adding history courses with topics related to the Hmong because I personally feel that I do not know enough about my roots and history. I know that in order to be successful in who I want to be or what I want to be, I need to start with myself. As a young child, I had always had the desire to learn how to read and write in my native language.
My education that I have received from the Wausau School District has set me apart as a student because of the great opportunities that are presented to the students and the faculty in the educational system. A large variety of classes are offered in different core areas throughout the schools which gives the ordinary student the chance to experience other areas and interests. I used this to my advantage, when deciding what type of field that I was going into after college. I took a Young Adult Medicine (YAM) class sophomore year to see if I was interested in the medical field and where in this area I was drawn to work in after high school. The Wausau School District has also prepared me for my future college studies and career by challenging
When I was 6 years old, I found my passion for a sport that gave me great opportunities including my ability to work hard, make memories, and create long-lasting friendships. Of course i chose the very rough sport of hockey. Over the past years, a couple of bumps and bruises never hurt me, they made me even stronger. As soon as I started hockey, I knew I would learn a lot along the way.
