My Philosophy of Education Throughout my education, I have established three statements that describe my philosophy of education. First, education is about the desire to learn, not the requirement. The development of learning should be pleasurable, stimulating, and helpful. Learning should not only be restricted to schools. It should teach students must understand how to pursue, worth, and love knowledge and enjoy learning. Students would like to build their own knowledge through understanding by gathering data, exploring the truth, analyzing the information, and making decision for their own learning. Second, education is a life-long learning process, which is vital. What students learn in schools is not enough to prepare for everyday living. Education supports life. Life experience connects to education. Students need to be educated to grow into a modern citizen for the needs of society. They also will use their life experience in their learning. Hence, they need to think critically and solve problems independently.
My Philosophy of Mathematics Education For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for mathematics. In grade school, math was more fun than the rest of the subjects to me. As my studies advanced and math became more challenging, the challenge only made it more pleasurable. Math was no longer an insignificant calculation but rather an in-depth study requiring devotion and originality. This passion and enthusiasm have guided my appreciation of the subject and fueled my desire to become a teacher.
