In the poem “Fast Break”, Hirsch writes in great depth and detail. Hirsh tries to persuade the readers to believe how wonderful turner is at playing basketball. The title of the poem is called “Fast Break” because Turner would pass the ball to his teammates really quickly, and run down the court fast. Hirsh uses simile, vivid language, and hyperbole to show how sympathetic he is towards the player and the last few seconds of the game.

Celtics fans are spoiled. Or at the very least, have been spoiled by the rich history and 17 championship titles. Hall-of-Famers Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Red Auerbach all walked the halls of the infamous Boston Garden. The franchise, overrun with history and talent also carries the crown to be the first professional franchise to draft an African American player in Chuck Cooper, then followed that up by being the first pro sport to appoint an African American coach in Bill Russell. Remarkable milestones for a franchise that has endured its share of bad press.

It seems that for centuries women have been used by men. Some of the world’s most powerful sources, like the Bible, even suggest that women were literally made for men, which makes it no wonder that media advertisements today objectify women. One of the worst offenders of sexualizing and objectifying women is the fast food industry, particularly Carl’s Jr. One of their most ignoble ads is the “Borderball” commercial. It depicts a women’s volleyball game occurring over the Texas-Mexico border because the two teams are settling a disagreement over a burger’s identity: Texan or Mexican.

Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, is a man that is looked at as a celebrity by humans because of his skillful fighting, and by the gods because of his intelligence and wits. The king went through numerous tasks and obstacles to get back to his homeland. One task in particular proves his power and the love he has for his loyal and wise wife, Penelope. Looking at lines four hundred fifty-one through four hundred seventy-one, the moment Odysseus, while disguised by the God Athena, proves to the suitors and workers that he is the rightful husband, king, and lord by stringing his own bow and shooting it through twelve axes; the task was quick and perfect for Odysseus.
It is difficult to compete with basketball and football, as basketball is a shorter season and shorter game time. Football is almost “too big to fail” as it is America’s sport now and everyone wants a piece of that pie, especially Patriot football. Question twelve is a testament to how success and demand and skyrocket the price of a ticket. I am not speaking of the Nor’easter success, but the Red Sox, in which during their World Series winning 2007 season the difference between the cheapest ticket and the most expensive, dugout ticket was a difference of three thousand percent! The people don’t know the Nor’easters, so at best, 48% of the responders would pay 10% more between bleacher seats and club/dugout seats (Cespedes, 2009).

Lastly, Alessandro Portelli’s They Say in Harlan County supports my argument in terms of rivalries. In Harlan County, Lynch football and basketball were known to be the best. The football team and basketball team had higher status than others and were glorified in the communities. Even during early development in this Appalachian county, rivalry was always a topic of discussion.
Stephen Curry is an anomaly. He pulls opposing players into his orbit based on the threat of his shooting and exerts gravity over the entire floor as he darts around on offense. In terms of forcing other team 's coaches to make adjustments, Curry might be the most impactful player since Shaquille O 'Neal, whose mix of size and nimbleness had never been seen before or since. But unlike O 'Neal, who often coasted on his ability to dominate physically, Curry works hard to get better every year.
