I have learned a lot this semester in my nursing 101 class, but the main thing that I have learned is that nursing is going to be the toughest thing that I have ever tried to do. It is very competitive and you have to strive to get the best grades you can possibly get. I have also learned that I am going to have to put aside some of the extracurricular activities that I used to do before I got into college. I have to put everything I have in my classes so that I can be the best nurse that I can possibly be. I have learned that I am going to have to spend a lot of days and nights studying for the major science tests that I have coming up.
I will continue to try my best at everything until my goals have been accomplished, just like Angie did. Both myself and Angie has numerous similarities in the career of nursing, including what motivated us, why we wanted to go into it, and how it has affected our lifestyles. Nursing requires human beings
The system that I use is the most important things that I need to do are place on my phone. I try to remember everything I need to do by using my memory. The professors and people usually repeat themselves, so I know by listening to their instructions the day before. I know that this system is imperfect that is why I am changing it because; this system has left me stressed out and anxious. I have bought myself a calendar, so I am better organized and efficient in my daily tasks.
Now I am looking forward to furthering my education after high school and taking care of my family the way I always wanted. In final conclusion, being on probation was a bizarre journey. Also, taught me a lot in life from start to end. Which started to show me that my friends weren’t for me, I did thing I regretted, I ended back on probation, and it made me the person I am today.
Being organized both mentally and physically is one of my biggest strengths. Since I’m am in high school as a student, it’s important to be able to balance tasks and keep things in order. In school, I balance homework, deadlines. Few strengths make tasks feel most effortless such as reasoning abilities or understanding knowledge. My strength to prepare for important deadlines in assignments was my most distinctive skill as a student.

My grandmother was the nurse that inspired me to pursue the profession. I am so thankful that she is still here to witness me getting closer to that goal. I’ve always wanted to fulfill her foot steeps and make her proud. I am the first one in my family to attend college, and I am very proud of myself for this accomplishment, but it has been a very tough road getting to this place. As most of my family is working class that did not attend college I was expected to get a job right after high school.
I really stressed because I am mostly worried about this class instead of all my other classes. I hope that I make a good grade in this class or actually pass as of right now. You should be prepared for everything including but not limited to school and jobs. Being prepared is important when it comes to school. If you are prepared for your classes your homework will get done on time and correctly. Lynch and Huang write “If you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail” (p. 1), meaning that if you do not have your homework done you will not get the credit for it. I practice being prepared
For many people college is a time where they find themselves and become independent. That wasn’t really the case for my aunt, Lisa Dennis. She explained to me how her college experience was different than others because of the fact she didn’t go right out of highschool, but that doesn’t mean it was bad. She had to find her independence in other ways than going to college. Here’s a woman who couldn’t afford to go to college right out of high school, but was determined to work hard at her job and take classes part time.
With their help I left John Edgar Howard elementary school with a strong head on my shoulders, and the devotion to strive for more. I had to move to a different elementary school because John Edgar Howard Elementary ended up being closed, because of the rough neighborhood. I then, attended Bradbury Heights; a school that I didn’t know existed. I was never exposed to many different neighborhoods, or opportunities. I managed to graduate and proceed to middle school where I continued my athletic career of basketball, and outstanding academic profile.
