While your stand may not be acceptable to others, success is when you have found happiness in your position in life, because you know you have given it your all , and have become a person you are happy being. People have a habit of basing their success off of the expectations of others.
What is success? We all want to be successful, but what does it mean? To a child, success may mean not getting into trouble at school. To a student, success means getting an A on a test. For a dance team, it may mean winning a competition.
Conclusion In conclusion, I believe that having personal ethics is key to living a happy, meaningful life. While it was difficult to evaluate what values were most important to me, I found that once I sat down and actually thought about what my life is currently like and what I do in my daily life, it was easy to come up with my core values. I found that having an unbiased attitude towards others leads to my other core values of: honesty, loyalty, compassion, patience, advocacy and respect for others.

What is success? Is it the process of doing a task and receiving a positive result acceptable amongst the community, or is it simply achieving ones own personal goals? Success to me can mean many things. Although I am successful in school, that does not necessarily mean I will lead a successful life.

Some people may define success as simply an achieved goal while others define success in how much power or wealth they achieved. I think success can be defined by not only how much power or wealth you achieve but through hard work and perseverance to achieve or accomplish the goals you set for yourself as well as how you overcome obstacles faced while you try to achieve your goals in your personal and professional life.
