Throughout the process of completing my senior project, I have learned many valuable things. My main advice to upcoming seniors is to not procrastinate on any of the parts of their senior project. I believe this is important advice because anything could happen suddenly with a part of their project and it could cause a portion of it to be late. Also, not procrastinating will allow the senior to enjoy their year and allow them to not be stressed to get a portion of their project done at the very last minute. I believe that the senior should think very carefully about what they want to do their project on and choose something that interests them. Choosing a project that interests them will allow the senior to enjoy the project and allow them …show more content…
I believe that the amount of hours and all of the requirements for the class are very reasonable and are perfect for the project. The senior project class allows seniors to fully experience the career that they chose. The project challenges the seniors to really work and learn about the subject they chose. The rigor for the project is reasonable for a senior and it can be fully accomplished by hard work. I believe that the project is created perfectly to challenge the seniors but benefit them in the end with new wisdom in whichever subject they chose for their …show more content…
Throughout my project, I was able to experience everything a dentist goes through in daily life, whether it was planned or if it was an emergency. The hours, papers, and information put into my project has allowed me to be fully confident in becoming a dentist in the future. My senior project provided me with the opportunities to meet very important people in the dental community, that could help me in furthering my career in the future. Overall, my project was a complete success. I was able to help others in need by teaching what I had learned to younger people. One of the main points in my project that will forever be special to me was seeing how the young children would give so much to help others in need. Helping others in need will always be my main focus in my work, and throughout my project, I learned that many who chose the same career path as me chose dentistry to help others in need, just like
All of the different applications and components that were implemented can easily be observed and displayed in the project. My knowledge and understanding of my topic and global context have been drastically widened. The importance of giving every situation and obstacle in life your all, then placing that on a global scale is even more amazing. My knowledge of rhetorical appeal is greater than before and this will only benefit my communication skills, which goes a long way in our day an age. My self-management and brainstorming skills have been improved upon after this personal project.
What did you learn from the project that you did not already know? From this project, I leaned a variety of different things
Group projects are researched and each worker many times will have a specific duty for the project and they all pull resources together for the end product. There has been a big emphasis in colleges on group work, projects, and students being able to work as a team for their future success in the workforce. Therefore, starting students at an early age in Project-Based Learning will teach them to work together for a common goal or product that they produce together as a team. They will learn social skills of working together, getting along, cooperating, taking direction, and dividing responsibilities amongst each other as a
My Senior Honors Project consists of researching the lack of resources within Native communities for special needs children. To begin with, my universal theme is special needs children. By doing research for my visual presentation, I learned a lot about other culture’s worldview on special needs children and I also concluded my culture’s worldview--both in my Native American community and in the state of New Mexico. One of the many things that I learned about my topic, my culture’s worldview and other communities’ worldview is that everything is perceived differently.
In the process of completing my Eagle Project, I learned about proper project management by leading groups of teams in completing several smaller steps in order to properly carry out the project. This skill of dividing a larger task into several smaller ones is one that I use when completing projects for school, and everyday during my internship at the National Cancer Institute, dividing my research project into manageable steps in order to properly complete my experiments and further the overall
If I want my projects to be more successful I need to be stern and make my team members work on their parts. This will not only benefit me, but it 'll benefit the rest of my team
When given a deadline, high school and college students share a common trait, they procrastinate. Although college and high school students are notorious for procrastinating on their school work, adults are also procrastinators. Adults put off things such as doing housework, paying bills, and meeting deadlines at work. Procrastination is usually deemed as a lazy habit, but that’s not necessarily the case. There are many reasons that one may choose to procrastinate, there are also consequences, but there are benefits that we tend to overlook.
I am very grateful for this opportunity and for the support of Ana Coya Brotons, who showed professionalism, enthusiasm, and collaboration while we were the performance the service learning. It was joyful and remarkable the way children showed us their curiosity of learning what we were teaching them. I felt confident and helpful by doing this service learning because I was able to share about oral health and teach my best understanding of what dental hygiene entails. Mrs. Coya, as well as the children, liked the entire presentation and interactive activities. Finally, I think that the success of our services learning presentation was time; therefore, I suggest to the future student do their service learning with enough
Having an impact on a youth or young adult is essential for my career goals as well. I have been fortunate to have so many people outside of my family to inspire me and guide me how to do things right, so naturally having an impact on others is so amazing to me. I am not the
Well it came to me I can help those that help others by become a management professional in the health care field. That is how my journey began to become better not only for my son but for others as well. The next ten years will be a long journey but I have a plan and will see it out.
I found the My Story assignment to be a fascinating one. I thought it was really interesting to get a closer look at how my fellow classmates defined themselves and what led them to their definition. The assignment allowed me to uncover another side of the people in the class that I didn’t know too well, but also it allowed me to see another perspective on my friends. The assignment is proof that even though people claim to know one another, they only know the information that they’re given, and that the information is usually only a fragment of the entire story. This idea of seeing an entire person’s story is what made the assignment so enjoyable, and even though I had a hard time coming up with my own narrative, it was still interesting to
I also participated in a blood donation scheme and visited the old folks home. These experienced confirmed my calling and my passion for dentistry and I am sure that this will motivate me to strive the next goal in my journey of education. I am a very disciplined individual. I plan my paths and set my goals so that I am motivated in achieving them. In addition to that, I am also determined and I am willing to work the extra mile in achieving everything I want to achieve.
Being able to provide the dental patient with a degree of happiness and peace of mind is the most rewarding aspect of dentistry, and I credit my university and my professors with this affirming experience. I study under incredible doctors and practice on a high volume of patients while providing high quality care to underserved populations at UNIBE in the Dominican Republic. It is refreshing to see the relief and happiness on patients’ faces after they receive treatment. My goal is to be a leading dentist, and I strive to be a preeminent clinician by contributing to research, perfecting my clinical skills and continuing to aid underserved populations. Research has been a key part of my dental school experience.
Good day, my name is Mena Hasan. I am a freshman in High School, and during my many years of schooling I have realized a very huge problem with today 's students, as I had done more research about this topic I had come to the conclusion that not only school students have this issue that everyone has this issue. This is something that we should all stop doing, but we just keep delaying it. . . procrastination. I know for one, I myself do this all the time, I do it in everything and it greatly affected my life.
While I have been found myself drawn to basic research in this realm, basically I am very proud of my profession as a pediatrician and I have always loved cooperation with my patients. Satisfaction in my day-to-day work can be come from my humanistic spirit, which I fostered through a lot of experiences when I was a medical student. For examples, with participation of summer internship to help children with mitochondrian disease, and with volunteering at family association of leukemia, I found tremendous gratification in sharing of feelings. In addition, I was a member of a NGO named ECPAT, for the human rights with women and children in the world, and I learned the way from professional staff to rescue from sexual abuse and empower them to
