Unfortunately, our opponents were the second best in our league, and they had won almost all of their games. Nevertheless, my team was up to take the challenge when we start practicing, approximately a half hour before the game begins. To start our game, Josh, our forward, chose heads in the coin toss and we decided to shoot south to avoid the sun. In our first offensive play, I passed to a midfielder, he got past an opponent forward, and kicked horizontally from the right corner of the field. Though, our opponent’s goalie managed to take the ball into his hands before Josh had a chance to kick the ball into the goal.
It was a rainy spring morning and I was playing in a soccer tournament with my brother, the rest of our team, and my dad as the coach. TWEET, TWEET, TWEET! We were all ecstatic when the referee blew the whistle to end the most important game of the season because we won the game! We all ran off the field and my dad told us to calm down and shake hands with the other team. “It’s good sportsmanship”, my dad said.
I play soccer for the Oakridge Soccer Club. I have been playing soccer since I was five years of age. When I first started playing Soccer I had a coach who used to go by the motto “every shot u miss, is a miss towards life.” Soccer is one of the two only sports I play and when I’m on the field I feel confident in myself because, if you show courage and confidence you will achieve your goal in life and even though my goal may not be to make goal for soccer my goal is to become a Soccer leader. I want to be a captain who talks to the referees during a game when our team has a problem, concern, or question.
Reflective Narrative Imagine I was running intently down the soccer field and when I got to the goal I fired off my best shot only to realize I missed and the ball landed right in the goalies hands as if it was meant to be. Then as I walked off the field I thought to myself that would have been such an easy shot for all my other teammates but I missed. Comparing yourself is bad all in its own especially when the person you are being compared to has more experience and lots of advantages over you cause it can lower yourself esteem next time try not to compare yourself, practice, and know you tried your absolute best.
My life revolved around soccer. However, in the spring of freshman year I was burning out. I had finished the fall season of high school, winter league was over and I was trying to balance spring club soccer with high school track. Without a break and feeling overwhelmed, I grew disinterested in soccer as it became a stressful environment for me as the older girls had to join our team
Quickly, I realized that both of my opponents could hit the ball farther than me and I began to forget my father's guidance of playing conservatively, in an attempt to keep up with them. I began hitting my more inconsistent clubs, hoping for longer yardage. This method of “Go Big or Go Home” didn’t work out very well because after the first day I was losing by three strokes to Cooper and losing by four strokes to the freshman. After telling my dad how the first day had gone, he told me that I needed to play my own golf game and not worry about them. This would mean sacrificing yardage for a better score, something I was willing to do.
Soccer Heartbreak and Triumph The weather was intense in the month of April. My high school soccer playoffs were just around the corner. So, training was an absolute nightmare for the team and I. We ran countless drills, ran countless miles, and dribbled countless times. Sure, it was a struggle, but I knew that I had to make every moment worth it because this would be my last shot at soccer glory.
i havent really had a back up plain, as people say, about what i want to do outside of sports, but i predict that i will be like my mom, also carring on her perfession. i do dream or wish to have a family one day , a child to teach soccer to like my parents did to me but thats not all also teaching him/her other sports to. Thats what I regret, never tring other sports. From begining to end of my life, I have been inspired by many people and also been through several significent moments that had an impact upon me, and for these two things i have dreams of whay i want to be in the future.
As I was playing for that team once we had a game which was about 4 miles away from our village that the whole team had to run there because nobody had a car or anything and I used to run without even getting tired, We had won that game. Back then I moved to Syria and I didn't play that much soccer but I used to watch the games on tv, The soccer game affected the Arabic people so much which I remember this , one time I was walking through a street which there are kids on one side of the street and other on the other side one group was wearing Real Madrid shirts and the other where wearing Barcelona FC shirts so as I'm walking one guy asks me who you support Barca or Real and sometimes you have to be smart you have to think before you say so the guy was wearing Real Madrid shirt and I said Real Madrid and he celebrated he was screaming that I'm a Real fan and the others got mad
Entering high school my freshman year, many things were new to me, and I wasn’t sure what I was going to get involved in as a student. The only thing I was sure of was that I was going to play high school soccer. I’d been playing soccer since I was about 8 years old, and finally having the ability to play for the high school I grew up watching was exhilarating. My main goal going into the soccer program was that I wanted to make the varsity soccer team by my senior year in high school- my brother had been a former varsity player, and I greatly wanted to fill his shoes and leave my mark at the school. Throughout my four years in the program, that was my main focus, but I was happy to discover that I was also making friends along the way.

The soccer team, like any other athletic team at the University of Memphis, has a strong desire to win a conference championship. That is ultimately their number one goal that they have as a team. In order to reach their goals, six out of the sevens days a week, they train at 6:30 am, to obtain their goal. The practice, that ranges from two hours to an hour and a half, is a way for the to win a conference championship. Another common goal amongst the players and coaches, is to qualify for the NCAA 2015 College Cup Tournament.
The park also maintains four different soccer fields and a playground. Aronson Park is primarily known, however, for its beautiful Veterans Memorial. The summer of 2016 my family and I took a road trip to Colorado. Colorado reminded me a lot of Minnesota but on a big Mountain. There are river valleys that are 1,250 feet deep to mountains that are 14,114 feet high. I climbed a mountain in Glenwood Canyon.
