My World of Influence The world created by God has its influence on an individual and comprises of living and non-living things, such as human, animals, sea, buildings, etc. Because the world involves human and other living things it will always have a purpose and change of mindset and thought on us eventually. Sometimes a person’s point of view or experience might not completely define his/her personality and purpose. However, positive influences can steer up the real you. Influences can be categorized into two, which is positive and negative influences. According to the Oxford dictionary, influence means “the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone, or something or the effect itself”. This shows that when we associate ourselves with humans, society or any other thing surrounded by us, it may have an impact on us whether positive or negative influences. Growing up as a young man influenced by thoughts, looks, or actions – perhaps against my own true beliefs or values changed in a time frame. My dream has always been my drive to be successful in life. I would do anything, but not everything to achieve my dream. Before relocating to the States from Ghana precisely, I had to tell a few friends about the move. I had well wishes and advice from family and friends. However, there was an advice from a friend I can't forget about. This friend asked me to seek help from a spiritualist ( voodoo priest/black magic) as a bridge to success. I disagreed anyways because that was against my religion. As a Christian, I'm commanded to worship no other god except the creator.
