My Writing Assignment Analysis

My expectations coming into the course were high and remained high throughout the duration of the course. The essays I wrote in the class really challenged me to progress in my writing skills. The illustration essay really served as an example of what not to do when writing at a college level. My approach of the essay was really misunderstood and grammatically incorrect.

A piece of evidence to support this detail is “Wood bats are much less expensive to replace than metal or composite ones”( Phoenix Bats). Many wooden bats are cheap and are less costly than aluminum bats. Having less money on baseball helps increase colleges money to go to other causes like safety of other sports and other activities around the college besides the baseball team. FirstLife by Gena Showalter is my second most difficult or third least difficult novel on my reading ladder because it has several more difficult words and was hard to understand due to plot twists and mixed messages. The difference between FirstLife and Can 't Look Away is the amount of pages I had to read. FirstLife has 438 pages and was a little confusing, when Can 't Look Away has 272 pages, making less pages it a little more bearable then lots of pages. It gives me more confidence when I read fast and well. Finally I chose to put Cradle and All by James Patterson as my hardest book because frankly I did not understand it.

Honestly I like writing and reading and hearing people’s take on a text. This class, which was filled with all of that, however I did not like and my attitude clearly reflected that. Many students of all ages have issues with writing, the only way to get better at writing is to have experience. I never paid much attention to my writing skills while in high school, I simply did not care about writing. This year as a freshman in college, I have struggled with writing this semester in GSW 1100. Even though I have not been passing papers, I understand that writing in college is extremely important to learn and develop. This is important because most courses in college have writing in them.

When I write I like to make sure what I am writing makes senses, so that I don 't have to go back and fix a lot of things; especially if I am writing a long page paper. The only thing that I was able to agree on with her was that fact that not everyone write a perfect first paragraph.
