4. DISSCUSION
Based on the results of this study, mycorrhizal symbiosis had significant effect on fresh shoot weight, fresh root weight, dry shoot weight, dry root weight, root length, seedling height and percent of colonization. As is clear from Figure 1 and 2 in all treatments, by increasing water stress, a fallen trend of biomass plants was observed. Using the Glomus intraradices and Glomus mosseae as exotic fungi has led to a two-fold increase in biomass. It’s very impressive, use of mycorrhizal fungi has been increased dry matter so that under drought stress at 50% and 25% FC the reduction in biomass is much less than that found in the control treatment. This can be interpreted so that with increasing drought stress, plants increase the length of roots, thus root weight is also increased. The highest root fresh weight observed in F&C in normal irrigation. (Manjunath et al., 1983) stated that inoculation with mycorrhizal fungi increases the shoot dry weight, roots and most morphological traits of the plant. Mycorrhizal fungi have a significant effect on uptake of nitrogen and phosphorus for plant growth and seedlings height. On the other hand, Mycorrhizal symbiosis delayed the leaf water potential drop under drought stress, also Mycorrhizal plants are much faster than non-mycorrhizal plants in absorbing the water and leaf water potential to reach balance (Wu et al., 2005). Mycorrhizal plants due to their much developed leaf area, lead to decrease in transpiration. In addition, mycorrhizal fungi cause the better osmotic adjustment and improve the relationship between water and plant by extending the hyphae around the root system and subsequently increasing the water absorption (Fagbola et al., 2001; Johnson and Hummel., 1985). The exotic and native AMF had no significant different, however interestingly, native AMF were more effective. Previously works suggest that, AMF reduce the H2O2 and MDA (Wu et al., 2009; Zhu et al., 2010; Benhiba et al., 2015) and this is probably due to the increased activity of antioxidant enzymes in AMF

During this experiment, mitochondria were isolated from 20.2 grams of cauliflower using extraction buffer, filtration through Miracloth, and centrifusion. Twelve samples containing various volumes of mitochondrial suspension, assay buffer, DCIP, sodium azide, and citric acid cycle intermediates were prepared to be read by a spectrophotometer. The inclusion of the dye DCIP allowed for the absorbance of the reactions between the mitochondrial suspension and the TCA cycle intermediates succinate, malonate, and oxalate to be measured, as DCIP turns from blue to colorless as the activity of succinate dehydrogenase increases. Experimental Findings Increasing the number of mitochondria in the reaction did increase the reduction of DCIP relative to the amount of mitochondrial suspension present.
If the experiment was completed again, more higher concentrations could be applied to the seeds to see if the data is further supported. Either way the more trials the better and more accurate results, this applies to any experiment. Practical applications of the principles of this investigation may be using the correct concentration for a specific plant or seed. In both the Metamorphoses and The Bacchae, there is an emphasis on the relationship between god and man. First, in the Metamorphoses, each story describes a transformation. In many of the stories, the gods are involved in the transformations of humans to animals as the result of an obstruction of power between the two (Ovid 194). Likewise, The Bacchae also exhibits physical transformations as one of its main themes. Again, this involves the power of a god being inserted over humans (Euripides 56).

There are many symbols in A Raisin in the Sun worth describing, but one that particularly stands out is Mama’s plant. It is old and barely a substantial piece of nature, yet it makes many vital appearances in the play. The small plant seems to personify Mama’s stubborn nature in its intent on survival despite its close to death appearance. It also represents Mama’s dream that seems close to being crushed, yet never dies. As a whole, the plant is an extension of Mama’s character and an important symbol in the play.
Abstract: The purpose of this experiment was to determine whether the amount of topsoil would influence the growth of radish plants. It was hypothesized that if the amount of topsoil increased by 50% would increase because topsoil contains the essential nutrients which are required for proper plant growth. Due to the nature of Alpha-Amylase cutting randomly through a large carbohydrate molecule, it leaves bigger sugars in the flask, which cannot be digested by yeast. Due to this, less reactions should occur in the experimental, therefore leading to a lower percentage of alcohol production, compared to the control.

Introduction: In this task I will be researching the effect that acid rain has on the rate of plant growth. Acid rain is any type of precipitation with a high pH, with high levels of nitric acids. The reason why I had chosen this topic was because acid rain seems to have a great effect on the effect of plant growth, and plants play a very important role in our ecosystem. Acid rain is a major problem in our environment when we are not able to neutralize the acidity.
The water moves up the roots against gravity through the dead xylem cells without the assistance of a pump. Water is absorbed by the plant through the roots through the process of osmosis, which then exits the plant through the openings of the leaves, known as the stomata. Water is able to move up the roots of the plants by cohesion and adhesion. This is an important process that plants must go through in order to obtain H+ ions from the water which are required to perform photosynthesis.
Usually, the microbial enzymes have various potential uses in industries and medicine. The microbial enzymes are also more reliable than plant and animal enzymes as they are more stable and active. Also the microorganisms demonstrate an alternative source of enzymes because they can be cultured in large quantities in a short time by fermentation and owing to their biochemical diversity and susceptibility to gene manipulation. All plants need nutrients to survive. Mycelium collects nutrients for the plant through the hyphae when the nutrients are scarce and delivers it to the plant. Furthermore, a complicated way in which plants use carbon dioxide,water, and non-natural salts to make plant food/energy for themselves is called photosynthesis.
This experiment is an attempt to investigate the amount of water potential across root storage plant species. The root storage plant species that shall be used are the carrot and the potato and the method that shall be used is known as Chardakov’s method. Water potential is the tendency of water to enter or leave a cell. Water moves from an area or region of low water potential to an area of high water potential. It is important to note that the highest water potential is 0(the water potential of pure water) and the other water potential values are in negative numbers .
