I am applying to NYU because I want to be in a liberal-arts academic environment with limitless opportunity. By applying to NYU’s Stern school of business I firmly believe that I will be given the education necessary to be successful in my field. I am a marketing major and going to a University, such as NYU, that will enable me to learn about the ever-changing technology utilized in my field is vital. I am also incredibly interested in a digital marketing track. Webdesign, app development, and advertisementing are all fields that interest me greatly, however I had little hands-on experience, which I crave and I know NYU can provide me with. I am also interested in the honors in media, culture, and communication program. I am currently in an
One of the primary benefits I hope to gain from joining the Honors College is access to an intellectually stimulating curriculum. I am eager to enroll in courses that challenge me to think critically and creatively and to engage with complex ideas and
I see myself being an engaged member of the WCU and Brinson Honors College community by being involved in community service opportunities, becoming a member of leadership organizations, and taking advantage of opportunities to study and serve in a different country or to participate in undergraduate studies. I plan to be engaged in the WCU community by being involved in all that I can be involved in. Specifically, I hope to become involved in at least one of the faith-based groups on campus, such as the Baptist Student Fellowship at WCU or the Campus Crusade for Christ. Becoming involved in faith-based organizations is important to me and will allow me to love God and love people better by learning more about God and participating in service projects that will share his love and truth. Additionally, I want to join a local Church family, where I hope to serve in various aspects of the Church, especially those that involve children, something that I am passionate about.
As a prospective member of the Masters of Arts in History program at Liberty University I hope to accomplish several things. I am currently serving as a high school history teacher and this program will benefit both my students and myself alike in the foreseeable future. This includes reaching the goals of earning my master’s degree which will result in a higher level of professional knowledge in my content area, while increasing my income simultaneously. This is not the only positive factor, Liberty’s program will also contribute directly to growth in regards to my relationship with Jesus Christ.
I have worked so hard in school waiting for a moment like this. UNCW would be a great challenge for me, but it would also help me out immensely. UNCW has a excellent education program and that is exactly the field of study I aim to go into. I spent approximately half of my sophomore year at the early college tutoring at Dobson Elementary. I cherished every second helping my fifth grade class.
As a child, I was never aware of my family’s financial struggles. My parents divorced when I was 12 and money became the central issue in my life. I found myself worrying about mortgages, health bills, and grocery money at a very young age. As I continued to grow, I vowed to myself that I would not struggle financially the way my parents had to. I want to escape the socioeconomic status I was born into, which is why I am pursuing a post-secondary education.
I believe that the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College would be an excellent venue to pursue my academic goals. I believe that the small campus and the student-to-teacher ratio will allow me to excel academically. One thing that stands out about the Honors College is that instead of majors being offered, “concentrations” are offered. The interdisciplinary curriculum provided at the Honors College would allow me to be exposed to various areas of study, while continuing to pursue my academic goals. Most importantly, concentrating in Law and Society would provide preparation for entrance into law
Throughout the college application process, it has become increasingly evident to me that NYU is unlike other schools due to its prioritization of individuality. Coming from a small Catholic high school, one of my goals for the next four years is to branch out and better myself through being a part of a diverse and open-minded student body. The diversity of culture, religion, opinion, and even personality at NYU is extremely important to me, and shows that the school is an open and accepting environment for all. The tradition of Ally Week especially interests me, as I am constantly trying to use the privileges I have been given to the advantage of those who do not share those same privileges. This dedication to equality is truly what makes NYU
At NYU, I hope to achieve this goal. I aspire to give structure to my life by participating in rigorous courses that will enable me to pursue a career in treating mental illnesses. In the College of Arts and Sciences, I intend to acquire skills in communication, analytical thinking and understanding human social behavior, cultivating my passion for understanding what makes the human brain so fascinating. Situated in one of the largest cultural hubs of the world, NYU would allow me to, like the squiggle, explore my interests. I would be able to visit museums such as the Whitney or take part in clubs such the Slam Poetry Club and Model UN or even partake in the annual Strawberry Festival.
The heart of New York City is New York University. By joining the network of NYU, I will be able to study at an institution that has a long tradition of academic excellence among private universities in the United States. Additionally, I will be able to be part of an internationally recognized learning network with locations all across the globe. It would be a pleasure to study at a globally recognized university. A friend of mine who is a recent graduate from NYU College of Nursing has praised the program and conveyed to me a very positive experience.
I expect to graduate from Northeastern Illinois University with High Honors, in May 2018 and I will be the first in my immediate family to obtain any college degree. An education at the University at Buffalo would be a major factor in reaching my goals on multiple levels. Being able to learn practical techniques from some of the best faculty in the field, at an internationally renowned institution, will make my knowledge base infinitely larger provide me with the skills to conduct credible research. Studying at a university that expects the most from its students is one of the challenges I will embrace and one that will prepare me for an accomplished future. Additionally, the MSW/Ph.D. Advanced Standing option will allow me to build on my existing BSW knowledge and earn my degree more quickly.
One of the factors that has attracted me to NYU is the interdisciplinary nature of the University. The University contains multiple schools that foster a converging community dedicated towards creating innovation. From the Steinhardt School of Business to the Tisch School of Fine Arts to the Tandon School of Engineering to the College of Arts and Science to many more, NYU helps create innovation through the multitude of studies and the interaction of its students. For me, the benefit of having multiple perspectives has helped me in my own work and given me a longing to help others in the field of Neural Science.
I am most attracted to Loma Linda University’s mission to make man whole and continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ and its commitment to faith and science. As a Seventh-day Adventist christian, the motto to make man whole has never been more personal than it is now. As I grow in my experience as a christian, to further the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus continues to take center stage. This mission and an understanding of the need for whole person care is something I seek to demonstrate and encourage through my profession as a nurse and involvement in my community.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application for the doctoral program at Florida Atlantic University. My interest in education began at a young age out of necessity. My upbringing was humble, and I was fortunate to have a healthy environment conducive to my education. However, that was the extent of my parents’ support.
My interest for The University of Texas derives from my interest in the Architecture program. The past summer I had the opportunity to participate in the Architecture Academy at the University of Texas and the overall experience solidified my interest in Architecture and the overall University. I appreciated the sense of being able to have a small college in a rather large school. I enjoyed exploring Austin’s culture and I was drawn to the art and music of the City.
Next fall I will be fresh out of high school and I hope to study at Indiana University, because IU has an excellent medical science program. This is why IU’s medical program is the best choice for my academic and career plans for the future. My academic plans as an undergraduate at Indiana University are to study medical laboratory science. I have chosen to study in medical laboratory science because I have always loved science and discovered that I wanted to pursue a future career in a medical lab while taking a course called the principles of biomedical science my junior year. Another major that major that Indiana University offers that interest me is scientific research; this major interest me because of the possibility of making a new discovery
