Career opportunities within science and technology are seeing unprecedented growth across the world, and so those who study science or another natural science at university are seeing their career prospects develop right before their eyes. Chemistry involves the study of all things chemical – chemical processes, chemical compositions and chemical manipulation – in order to better understand the way in which materials are structured, how they change and how they react in certain situations. Having gained chemical understanding at molecular level, chemistry graduates may choose to apply this knowledge in almost unlimited ways, as it can be used to analyze all matter and therefore our entire environment. Chemistry graduates have much scope to …show more content…

Food and agricultural scientists may only need bachelor's degrees for some career paths, although several professionals in this field pursue doctorate degrees so that they can conduct more advanced research projects for various employers. Typically, most employers prefer to hire engineers who hold the minimum of bachelor's degrees related to their engineering field. Although engineers may work in nanotechnology, they may hold degrees outside of this field, such as bachelor's degrees in computer engineering or chemical engineering.

The work conditions of a nanotechnologists can be quite stressful, as workers must be very hardworking and precise in order to ensure mistakes are not made, and the work is completed in a timely manner. There may be some exposure to risk in this job, as assistants may have to work around dangerous chemicals and other substances. Nanotechnologists usually work a traditional weekday-working schedule, although they may have to work during evenings, weekends and holidays if there are high volumes of …show more content…

The information obtained through the research indicates that the heart beats in correlation with the lungs, causing rhythmic patterns that allow the heart to function efficiently. To put it differently, our rate of breathing directly influence to our heart rate. Cardiovascular disease throws off variations in heart rate that synchronize with lung inflations, causing a discordance that can lead to heart failure. The device created by scientists, an updated pacemaker, enhances the heart’s ability to pump blood efficiently and saves energy. The pacemaker the team created is miniaturized, about the size of a postage stamp, and they expect to be able to significantly extend the life of those who experience heart failure. In food science, nanotechnology is primarily used to increase the life of fruits and vegetables. This could be achieved, for example, by putting nanoparticles of silver into foods to work as an antibacterial agent. These nanoparticles would not be a large enough component of the food to have a harmful effect or alter the flavor. In fact, many food manufacturers already use nanotechnology in food. The most compelling aspect of nanotechnology in regard to agriculture is the ability for artificial photosynthesis to be utilized in regard
