My Trip to Florida It was a cold winter night in Upstate New York. My mom and dad were enjoying a cup of coffee, my sisters were playing video games, and I was editing a few pictures on my computer. My mom brought up the idea of a vacation. She said” We haven’t been on a vacation for a long time”.
Thanksgiving Break I woke up inside my college dorm bathroom, the only light that was filtering was through the filmy windows high above the showers. I was also alone, tried opening the door, only to find out I was trapped. Then I realized that it’s the first morning of Thanksgiving Break, and since the dorms were cleared out and locked, I’m stuck for the next four days. I usually have my phone with me at all times but this time i didn't realize I had left it in my roommate's bed and I wished I knew how I ended up sleeping in the restroom.
In the Great Gatsby, privilege comes into play. Privilege in this context means being born with advantages that you did not earn or work for. Some people have to work to get their money but others are born with money which means that they didn’t have to work for their money. Gatsby for example was not born with money. He had to make his own money by selling and dealing drugs and is now a very wealthy man.

Thanksgiving with an American Family One of my college friends who is an American invited me to the Thanksgiving dinner with her family. I had never been to a Thanksgiving dinner before and so I was pretty excited for this party. The first thing I noticed as soon as I reached her home was the sweet smell of the dinner being cooked. My friend opened the door for me and introduced me to her family.
The worker arrived at foster mom Seidy's house and proceeded to knock on the front door. The worker waited until Amy answer the door and welcome the worker into her home. The worker said good morning to Amy and Martin good morning as the worker stepped inside the house. Amy then told the worker to have a seat at the dining table while the worker and Amy waited for foster mom. Seidy came out of the room with her son in her arms and sat down in the dining table.
Every year every November there is a holiday called Thanksgiving that my family always fails to forget. Every Thanksgiving all of my relatives I mean all meet up at my Nana’s house so we can really put time aside to reconnect. Mostly the holiday is fun a lot of times it can be very dramatic and chaotic i’d say mostly chaotic. But still every single Thanksgiving my family meets up at my grandma’s house no matter what went on during the year it is our responsibility to make it to her house for our annual Thanksgiving feast.
I will never play tag in the dark again. I was three years old and I was going to go camping without my pesky little sister. I was so excited to go camping with my Aunt Michelle, Uncle Ken, and cousin Krysten. Krysten at the time was five years old because she is two years older than me. We all pulled into Yogi Bear Park while we were inside the RV.
Everyone succeeds more when they dedicate themselves the fullest. Abroad, hiking deep in the mountains requires coordination, overcoming extensive physical walls, and striking dangers. When our group tackled the French border, our hard work got the results we only had wished. As my foot crossed the line, my language trip to Spain was lifted off the ground. Trekking over peaks demanded having ample coordination.
My dinner party is a picnic on a deserted beach in California. As I was setting up the picnic, I saw a lamp in the sand, I rubbed it, and Robin Williams appeared, as my first guest. I asked him if he could still grant wishes, and in Mrs. Doubtfire 's voice he said, “No deary, but I can teach you how to make Flubber”! He taught me how to make Flubber, and it bounced along the beach. As we chased it, he told me about his adventures while he was stuck in Jumanji.
In “An Hour or Two Sacred to Sorrow” Richard Steele talks about the sadness of death, even though it is upsetting it is okay to have some happiness too. To begin, Steele explains how when he was a young boy he experienced the death of his father and how sad he was not being able to play with him anymore. the image of his mother being heartbroken and crying tears him apart the most knowing the happiness and beauty that lies within her. As Steele got older he realized experiencing death or hardship makes the times harder on the young, carrying that sorrow with them the rest of their life. Not only do the young get affected more, but Steele claims more people are more affected by accidental deaths more than expected deaths young or older.
