On a Friday a while back, I got out of school early. I had gotten out to finish packing for Spring Hill. Spring Hill is a tubing resort in Michigan and I was going with my youth group. I finished packing and my mom drove me and Ben Turner over to the church. After waiting for ten minutes we packed the vans and left. The ride there was two hours long and was so much fun. When we arrived at spring hill it was about seven or 8 o'clock and pouring rain. Once everyone was out of the car we went to have a group photo taken. After pictures were taken we could go to the vans and get all of the stuff out of the back. We had problems getting everything out of the vans and to the cabins with all the mud. When we got to the cabins Mark, our youth leader went over the game plan for the weekend. We went to a big …show more content…
We started of with a session and then some breakfast. All of the food was amazing and all of the chiefs were really nice. After breakfast there was free time for going to sign up for extra activities. I wanted to go explore first. Then I went to the tubing hill and tubed for a while. I went and checked out the pool. And then looked at the inside area. Then when I went to go to sign up, the sign ups were closed and since they had cost money I had thirty extra dollars. I went into the room where they kept gaga ball and nine square. Gaga ball is a game where there is an octagon arena and a ball players have to hit the ball into other's feet to get them out. I got over there and smelled horrible and so I played nine square instead. Once I played for a while met up with Ben again and our other friend Grant. After all that we had second session and lunch. Once we found Grant we decided to get a ping pong ball and play that for a little bit. While we were playing Mark came along. Mark played with us for a while, and eventually Grant split off. Mark was really good but Ben and I beat him a few
I replied. “Thank you.” The starting meal of the day had finished on January the 9th. I talked to the Captain and he instructed me into truck with all my kit.
The drinks were excellent and the service in that place was outstanding. I don’t really remember much of that night but I just know it had too be a pretty good night since none of use remembered it. We went to work that next day and they took me out on a flight around Germany it was so awesome. That was the first time i had every been in an airborne Apache.
Finally, the adventure began! Putting up the tent took about an hour since we kept on putting the poles into the wrong hole. After that stressful experience came the fun part. It was time to take the canoe for a ride into the water.
As usual, I get into the Vermeer’s car with Aftyn. The drive to the trails is always fun and beautiful. After about a twenty minute car ride, we got to the Rough Lock Falls parking lot to unload our snowmobiles. When everything is unloaded and everyone is bundled up, we’re off.
Each team was staying at a different hotel so after the party we all went back to our hotels and went to bed to get rest for the games the next day. We show up to the fields and set up the tents and chairs and then watched the games before us. Then we warmed up and got some ground balls. The first few innings went pretty slow nobody scored any runs. Our pitcher starts struggling and he gives up eight runs!
impatiently waiting on the tour guide to speak to our group. “Girls you are dismissed, have fun”, She said. I ran into the place and saw a bunch of amazing
My wagon train and I are leaving Independence and will travel 166 miles and 6 days to Alcove Springs. While we were leaving there was a huge traffic jam with all the carts and animals. The cart in front of mine was driven by a lawyer from New York so he didn't know how to control his animals very well. When we got to the Kansas River the carts wouldn't float so we all had to pay $1 to use the raft. After 6 days and 166 miles we finally made it to Alcove Springs.
It didn't take us long to get past security. It's been a long time since I've done this or been through this ever. Right after security we went to go and get bagels it was too early in the morning to be on an empty stomach. In the beginning we were so confused on where to go we always kept on taking wrong turns. We found out that we needed to take the terminal.
Who knew going to the Lake of the Ozarks would be so much fun? Before I went to the Lake of the Ozarks I was bored to pieces at home. I was packing and just sitting around after that. I was watching tv and doing nothing. It was horrible because I was so anxious to just leave and get there.
When I contemplate about my years at Pine Forge Academy I realized that I had numerous fond memories. "Little Lake” was a factory that made redwood patio furniture. While on the bus to Little Lake I recall how the group of students would make up songs to sing and how fantastic we sounded. I remembered the long days and how many of us would return to the campus covered with wood shavings. I reminisce on the many summers that I did not return home for summer vacations.
The final bags were filled with extras ( toothbrush, toothpaste, food, etc.).The car was very empty on the way there. My dad was driving. My mom was in the passenger seat and I was in the back with my sister. On they way there we saw a really cool, broke down farm. It was still up and running but, it didn 't have any animals.
My mother entered my bedroom and immediately her face widened in absolute shock. “What did you do?” I froze, panicked. I had been discovered. Twelve-year-old me was sitting on the bedroom floor when she had come in.
O is for Oregon. Two years ago I got to go to Oregon with my family. It took us 3 days in total to get there because we drove. We went through Washington to get to Oregon. We went to Oregon because my uncle lives there.
but it was worth it. After we parked, my mom had us put on sunscreen and she took some pictures in front of the big sign. I couldn’t believe I was actually at Cedar Point!
We woke up full of energy and ate breakfast. My mom had a few more things to pack up. We had to wait for her in the car. As soon as my mom came my dad turned the car on and we started the trip. The roads were very slippery
