The Place Where Dreams Come True I sat on the windowsill with the suitcase beside me filled with tank tops and swimsuits. Peeking my head behind the curtain, I saw the grey morning sky with clouds looking like they were about to burst with snowflakes. “C’mon Maddie, let’s go,” mom giggled with excitement downstairs. “Coming,” I eagerly answered. I flew down the curved staircase with a bag in my hand and a huge smile on my face. While opening the storm door, I felt a blanket of chilly air rush through me, like a ghost walking into someone. With the last of the luggage being thrown into the truck, the five of us hopped in. Dad started the engine, and right then and there, I whispered to myself, “goodbye Pittsburgh, hello Orlando!” I placed my headphones in my ear and new this was going to be a very long ride. As my eyes started to get droopy and my head slowly falling onto my sister, I fell asleep. Quite a few hours had passed and both Virginias and North Carolina are far behind us. The sky began to appear darker with the moon awakening while approaching South Carolina. Passing through the little towns, looking for a decent hotel, we finally came across one. Once the packed truck was in park, mom climbed down and went towards …show more content…
I never seen a place so alive in my life! There were people everywhere shopping, eating, and hanging out! We went into a bunch of shops that had Disney Inspired pieces of clothing, kitchenware, and even shoes. On the other side of Disney Springs was the Lego section. There were Disney movie characters made out of Lego bricks and a loch ness monster in the water. … Today we will go to Magic Kingdom, and also where Jami will get proposed to by Shaun! He had been hiding the ring right under her seat in the truck the whole time. “You ready for today,” I asked Jami while she was stepping into our room and fixing her hair. “Yep! It’s gonna be so much fun, how about
In my mind’s eye, I can still picture driving from Seagraves, Texas to Orlando, Florida in a brand new Kia that we just got. I remember driving on the overpass above the Mississippi River and how far out of sight it went. We took two long, dreadful days to get to Orlando, but when we got there it was totally worth it. On the first day we got in Orlando my family
The coldness woke me up. My toes felt numb from the frigid December air and my body ached. I was in my studies, passed out after working on a few homicide cases that ultimately linked back to one guy. I sat up right, yawned, and stretched my arms out as wide as I could, knocking a few of my Archie’s Comics off the shelf and to the wooden floor. I’ll pick that up later.
“Ok then it 's settled, I’ll start planning for Cedar point!” My mom said. From that day forward I had no Idea what a day it was going to be.
One stormy night the Ravenel Family were sitting at the dining table. Kelly, my mom, Jordan my sister, Dave my dad, and me of course. All you could hear the tree 's branches hitting the window, the wind howling to the beat of the rain. There with all that music my parents were whispering very nervously. Then suddenly, the light started flickering, the room darkened nothing was heard but the trees, the wind, and rain.
Pennhurst Asylum By: sarah hill The air stands still as you walk around the decaying buildings. The feeling of something watching you is heavily present in your thoughts. An oder, a damp, musty, moldy odor, fills your nose as you try to peek inside and see what 's in these decrepit buildings.
My First Time in Disney World Every child wants to go to the happiest place on earth, Disney World, and for my fifth birthday, I was one of the lucky children who was granted their wish. I remember my time in Disney like it was yesterday, yet it was day two of my trip that stood out the most. We rode the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. I thought the monorail must be what a rollercoaster feels like, even though we were going as slow as a snail.
One of the most important aspects of Disney is family. You spend roughly 2-5 days with them going on rides and attractions, but you also spend an entire lifetime with them. You spend time with them, and even argue who you want to sit next to on the rides. I remember sitting at a quiet restaurant for dinner and actually talking.
It was an early December morning. The roads were slick with a thin layer of ice. The air was crisp with a winter chill and there was a slight drizzle falling from the sky. I was riding in my dad’s truck to my grandma’s, who babysat me while my parents were at work. My little brother Kaden was also with us.
I decided to bring my favorite blanket. It gave me a warm feeling inside. As we headed off, we said our last goodbyes to Gram and Gramps. Two days later, as we were passing an old abandoned ghost town, as if by magic I heard a crack and saw that the top right wagon wheel broke. It would be getting dark soon so we found shelter in an old
The time had come for our annual band trip. The band was on its way to encounter many fun attractions. The event I was most ecstatic for was Six Flags! The day we visited Six Flags I walked around with five of my friends and my girlfriend. We spent the whole day riding the park’s fantastic rides.
The world’s happiest place, a place where everyone and the kids want and need to go to, the place where families spend that valuable time together. #Going to Disney World is like unwrapping gifts on Christmas with family, friends, and loved ones. It’s a great feeling being able to go and experience that. There’s plenty of rides, games, sites to see, and walking at Disney. * It’s every little kid’s dream to go to Disney World and meet the one and only Mickey Mouse.
We saw Mickey and Minnie, and Donald and Daisy. The day was filled with riding all sorts of fun rides. When it was
I reach up and softly rub a touch of powdered sugar from George’s chin and say, “Come on! Let’s ride the Ferris Wheel!” He laughs in return and replies, “That is my favorite thing to do!” We clamber into the car, and up into the sky we rise for the second time that day. When the car stops at the very top and we share that special kiss, I know that this is the best date ever.
Loud Disney theme music and gorgeous colors are flaunted on every corner. There is not one person in the place that is not having a great time. Booming laughs and bright smiles fill the park on a daily basis. Disneyland is broken up into different sections in correlation to the theme. Disney has Fantasyland,
As the snowflakes fell I fell asleep. The next morning I woke up to a quiet and dark room, I rolled over to grab my phone and check whats up. To my surprise it was 11:18 am and leo and I were in bed still. We were supposed to get on the road and meet up with elise by noon and it would be impossible to be punctual by now.
